"Honey, wake up. It's almost time time to go." I heard my mom say from downstairs.

It was 5:30 a.m.

"Ugh, I'm up, I'm up," I said back " I'll be down in a minute." I was supposed to get on a plane at 6:30 to go see my family back in Australia for the holidays. I was super nervous about going back. What if I ran into Calum or Luke ?

Or even worse... what if I ran into the both of them at the same time ? I decided to skip breakfast once I was dressed and went downstairs where the rest of my family was ready and taking our suitcases to the car.

"Are you okay sweetie?" my mom asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine just a little nervous about going back"

"Oh I see what this is about. You're worried about Luke and Calum"

I looked away when I felt myself blushing. "Just a little," was all I managed to say. My throat felt like it was in knots. I knew I couldn't avoid going back forever but I just didn't think I would have to go back so soon.

What would hurt more ? Having them still be upset and mad at me?

Or them forgetting about me already ?

I decided to take my mind of them and think about what I was going to do on the plane to keep busy. After all, it was a 21 hour plane ride.

After we got to the airport and boarded the plane, my mind drifted back to them once again. I was actually quite happy since I made it three hours without thinking of them once. I started thinking about of different scenarios of how our meeting would be.

Scenario one was seeing them and them being happy to see me and forgetting that I left without saying good-bye.

Of course the more rational one was that they would still be pissed about what happened and we would all go our separate ways causing my heart to break into a thousand little pieces.

I heard the flight attendant explaining how to properly put on our seatbelt and what to do in any case of an emergency. I tuned her out and looked out the window seeing the early sun rising. I closed my eyes and focused on my breathing. If the only thing I was going to be able to think about was going to be my rencounter with Calum and Luke, then I should probably get some sleep. I don't think it's healthy to think about two boys for 21 hours straight.

I woke up a little disoriented. My mom and dad were sitting next to me and they were still asleep. I looked out the window and saw that it was almost dark out. We still had a couple more hours to do so I decided I would just read one of the books I brought along for the ride.

The book was about some girl who falls in love with two guys at a time and she has to pick one of them, but she doesn't know which one to pick because she falls in love with both. She ends up ruining their friendship and losing both of them forever.

Isn't that the happiest ending you've ever heard? And boy, does it sound familiar. I finished the book and decided that was enough romance novels for a whole year. My mom had started to wake up and started fidgeting in her seat.

"Hey honey, you okay ?" she asked her eyes searching my face with a worried expression on hers.

"Yeah Mom, I'm fine. Just finished reading a book with a sad ending. That's all."

"Oh ? A book with a sad ending ? You don't see much of those anymore. There should be more of those, don't you think ?"

"Yeah, I guess so..."

Just not mine.

"Well we're almost there, just sit back and relax and we'll be there before you know it."

"Yeah,"

But there was no way I would be able to relax knowing I would see them in less than 5 hours.
