Third Person POV

She was slowly zipping up her dress in front of a floor-length mirror in her rented hotel room. The dress beautifully hugged her figure; the peach color complemented her white complexion. It was a simple off-shoulder floor-length dress. The top part was cover in lace while the bottom fell freely, swaying with every move she makes. Her chin length hair was tucked behind her ears to keep her face free from any strands. Simple and light make-up accentuated her features, making her cheekbones stand out a little more than usual. Her eyes, albeit lacking the brightness they usually held, were captivating. Her lips were painted beige, as she didn't want to stand out by painting her lips red.

The lady studied herself as she faced the mirror. All that was left was for her to get her purse. Yet, her heart was pounding as if she ran a marathon. Nervously, she tucked her hair behind her ear as she looked into the reflection of her own eyes.

At another room in a different building, a man stood with his chin up in front of the mirror. He was buttoning up his white long-sleeved polo that was tucked in the black slacks that he was wearing. Once he buttoned the last pair, he sighed as he reached for the thin black tie that was hanging on the handle just beside the mirror. He quickly knotted the tie neatly, a sign that he's been used to doing the act by himself for quite some time. Stuffing his hands in the pockets of his pants, the man looked at his reflection.

His hair was neatly patted down, just like how it used to be when he was still in high school. There were no stray strands resting on his forehead. Overall, he looked neat and clean. There was no sign of facial hair growing on his chin and under his nose.

He sighed as a sad smile tugged on his lips. All that was left was for him to grab his coat, phone, keys, and wallet. His hands that were now idle felt cold and sweaty. His heart was pounding in his chest. Nervously, he glanced at the watch he wore before tugging on the sleeves of his polo.

At the same time, despite being in different places, the two deeply sighed as they looked at their reflections for one last time. They both whispered, "This is it," before moving away from the mirror to get what they have to bring. They both stepped out of their respective rooms and walked to the elevators. She hailed a cab by the driveway of the hotel while he started the engine of his car after locking its doors. Slowly but surely, the two made their way to the church.

The cab stopped in front of the church's entrance as the man parked his car in the designated area. The lady paid the fee, giving the excess as a tip to the kind driver. Carefully and with much grace, she stepped out of the cab, her purse tightly clutched by her hand. She observed the church and its architecture. People can be heard bustling around inside as they prepared for the event. With a small smile, she slowly moved inside the church. If only she waited for her change and glanced around for a little while more, he would've caught up to her at the church's doors after shutting the car's ignition and locking his car. With his hands in his pockets, he took in a deep breath as he entered the church quite a few paces behind her.

Friendly smiles and some surprised looks were thrown at me when I entered the church. I made my way to where Aly, Von, and Laura were standing. The two women were wearing dresses of the same color as mine while Von was wearing a tuxedo. We shared smiles and 'hello's' before I started to look around at the guests. Kiefer was already in front with Thirdy. Kief was wearing a white tux while Thirdy was in a black one. From where we were, one can clearly see how nervous yet excited Kiefer looks. I got to say, he is one lucky man. I can say the same about Mika being one lucky lady.

Ara along with other former Lady Spikers were standing in a corner. Some of them were with their boyfriends, fiancés, or husbands. In another area, a group of former Green Archers and Blue Eagles were huddled together. Other known basketball players that played with Kiefer in the RP team were also there. Coaches, assistant coaches, celebrities, and their families were all around. It only dawned on me at that moment that this wedding is a large one.
