Chapter 10. Ferris Wheel Emotions

  Danny led Lyla through the fair just like she did to him, but this time he led her to the Ferris wheel. When they arrived, Danny uncovered her eyes and Lyla burst into laughter.

  "Your surprise was the Ferris wheel? How cute, you're too cute!"

  Danny became flustered and folded his arms, "yeah so what? And that's awfully rude, I didn't laugh when you took me to the  haunted house. I just went with it,"

  "Touché, touché," Lyla said while poking out her lips, "alright let's go in," she added on while making her way to the cart.

  "Lyla wait," Danny said while grabbing her arm, "please don't think I brought you to the Ferris wheel just to bring you here, I brought you here for a reason and I'll tell you why once we go in, k?"

  "Well I'm not getting any younger here, so the faster we go in, the faster you can tell me," Lyla remarked as she pulled her arm away from him.

As they entered the cart, the Ferris wheel worker closed them inside and started the wheel. At first it was dead silence between the two, but Lyla decided to break it.

"Alright Danny, pick up your balls, if you have any, and tell me the reason why you brought me to the Ferris wheel," she said while looking into his diamond blue eyes.

"Lyla, since the past," he paused and looked at his phone, "nine hours, I've enjoyed every moment I've spent with you, I can't stop thinking about you, and wanting to kiss you, hold you, squeeze you, and caress you. Never have I ever felt this way about any girl I've been with. Hell, Lyla I think...I think I might be falling for you." He explained while gazing into her brown eyes.

To Lyla this was no surprise because she's dealt with this situation plenty of times. So many times it'd be too much to count, but continuing with her little game she sat there pretending to be in utter shock. But before she could say anything, she found herself with her lips locked with Danny's as they shared a passionate kiss he had started.

  "Damn," she thought to herself, "he's one hell of a kisser, and I don't know, my mind is telling me it's a trick, don't fall for it, but my heart...my heart is telling me something I can't even explain. Could I be falling for him too? No...no...no...just a mind game, just a trick," she continued to think to herself while breaking the kiss. "I-It's getting late and I think we should get off now, and if you don't mind, could you stay the night at my house?" Lyla asked while her head was lowered.

  "Sure baby girl, I'll even stay the night after if you like," Danny said while caressing her cheek.

  With that being said, they both got off the Ferris wheel, went to Danny's car, and he drove her home.

  "Tonight was one hell of a night," they both thought to themselves.
