In the morning, Danny got up and slipped away while Lyla was still asleep. He knew it was his ass on the line but he wanted to get her something special.
"And where does your fine ass think you're going?" Tanya asked while eating an apple.
"Somewhere Tanya, what are you doing up so early?" Danny replied back in a sharp tone,
"I should be asking you the same, I knew there was somethin' fishy about you. You probably got a side hoe and leavin' Lyla after a one night stand!" Tanya yelled.
"Ssshhh! Lyla is still asleep, and it's not even like that you idiot. There is no "side hoe" and I'm not leaving Lyla after no one night stand," Danny said agitated. "I'm just going out to buy her something special, so if you would kindly stop questioning me and allow me to leave then I'm sure I'll be back before Lyla wakes up."
Tanya cocked her head to the side while smiling and shaking her head, "Oh Danny, you keep believing that. That's all I have to say," she murmured as she walked away to her room.
After the tedious conversation with Tanya, Danny left the house. Moments later, he returned to the house to find an angry Lyla waiting for him at the door,
"You asshole! I knew you were just a hit and run! And to think, that I was convinced that you were falling for me! Get out of my face! I don't wanna see you!" Lyla hollered while beating his chest.
"Babe! Babe! No, you got it all wrong!" Danny said while trying to stop her, "Baby I wasn't leaving you, I just went out for something,"
"What? Some head?! All because we didn't make love last night, you think that I'm not good enough?! Is that what it is?! I'm not the type of girl that'll just let some guy tap after just one date! If that's the case you better just go and f-"
Danny shut her up by doing the usual, kissing her but she wasn't with it this time. Lyla slapped Danny and pushed him away,
"And this is exactly why I compare you to an ice cream," he said while rubbing his cheek.
"A what?" Lyla asked baffled.
"An ice cream, and while I was out I went to go buy you this, not be with some other chick," Danny implied while taking out a white and gold ice cream charm necklace. "You're just like ice cream, you can be so sweet yet so cold."
Lyla stood in awe and covered her mouth while staring at the necklace,
"Danny I..."
"Don't say anything," Danny ordered while putting the necklace on her.
"But baby, I-"
"What did I just say?" He whispered in her ear while pulling her hair back and kissing her neck, "you can make it up to me tonight, even if that means we don't go that far," he added on while nibbling on her ear and caressing her body.
"Oh damn don't do that to me baby," Lyla thought to herself, "wait a minute, the hell am I doing? Getting side tracked Lyla! Don't fall for his charm."
Lyla came back to her senses and moved away from Danny,
"Alright fine...thank you for the necklace and sorry for all that." Lyla whined with her head down.
Danny lifted her head and kissed her, "water under the bridge baby, come on, let's go inside now."
He lifted her up bridal style and carried her inside to her room and for the whole day, Danny and Lyla joked around, talked, and kissed. Later that night, Lyla took a shower while Danny stayed in her room and looked around once again like from the night before. But while he was looking around he noticed a knife on the floor.
"The hell? Why is there a knife in her room?" He asked himself, "that's hella weird, I'll ask her when she comes out."
A couple minutes later, Lyla came into her room with nothing but a red bra and black laced panties on. Danny blushed hard,
"Well I'll be damned, it should be illegal to be that sexy," Danny snickered while biting his lip and getting up.
"So cheesy, but I'm glad you like what you see and you better enjoy it while you can, because soon all of this is going to be covered." Lyla giggled.
"Nah sexy, you owe me tonight, but before we talk about that, you care to explain to me why there's a knife in your room?" he inquired while picking up the knife.
Lyla had to think of a lie fast, and faster than the speed of light. It had to be the most believable lie she could ever come up with, so that it didn't sound too cliché or suspicious.
"Cause' sometimes I don't feel safe so like I have that with me, a lil' paranoia I have," she said with an innocent smile.
"Right ok?" Danny said in a confusing tone while setting the knife on her dresser.
"Shit, that was close," Lyla thought to herself while sighing in relief.
"Now bring that sexy ass here girl," Danny demanded while turning the lights off and tackling her onto the bed.
Lyla laughed and squirmed in a playful way,
"Baby let me go, please, I'll be a good girl now" Lyla quietly said in a seductive voice.
"What was that? I couldn't hear you," Danny answered back while holding her body close to his.
"I said, take off those damn clothes so I can feel your body against mine," Lyla mumbled while biting her lip.
Danny did as told and took off his clothes and pressed his body against hers,
"Better now?" He asked.
"So much," Lyla responded back with a smirk while pinning him down.
"We'll only go as far as you want, that is my only request," Danny proposed while cupping her cheek.
"Got it," Lyla remarked back.
All through the night, Danny and Lyla kissed and touched all over each other until they fell asleep in each other's arms.
"Danny Williams, you are possibly the hardest man I've tried to kill." Lyla thought to herself while she slept.
