I help Derrick in the truck with his broken leg. He broke it in 5 places and might have to walk with a limp the rest of his life. I slide in next to him and he grabs my hand and kisses it. He says," I love you thank you for everything." I smile and says"I love you too."

Not convincing enough because he ask,"What's wrong." I hold his hand not looking at him I say," I have to go back.". He pulls my face to him and says," Back where." I start tearing up and say," Back to Illinois." He pulls me into a hug and rubs my back. I try to keep my tears in so he doesn't see me cry.

My mom hops in the truck and sees us and says," I'm sorry but we have to go home." She starts the truck and drives us to Derrick's house.

We pull in the drive way and my mom doesn't look a bit surprised at how big his house is.

I help Derrick out of the car and into the house. My mom says she has to go back to the house and pack the truck I beg her to let me stay with Derrick and she finally agrees and says," I'll be back in 5hrs." I give her a kiss and tell her to be careful.

Derrick pulls me into a hug and says," Come over here." I hug his stiff strong body and kiss his shoulder and say," Let's get you up to bed. The doctor said lots of sleep." He shakes his head no and says," Your leaving tomorrow we can't just pretend your not. I want to spend every second your here with you."

I kiss him and shivers run down my spin not just from his kiss but that it might be our last kiss for a while. He pulls away and says," I have something for you." He leads me to the dinning room, opens a draw and pulls a blue box out.

I flash back to when my friend Liz told me," you always want that little blue box."

He limps over to me and says," This is for taking me back and loving me like no one ever has."

I open it and its a infinity ring with diamonds lining one side. And the band has a engraved note in it it says"I will love you always no matter how many miles apart we are." He puts it on my ring finger and I pull his head in and kiss him with all my happiness. I try to not think about leaving. just to think about me and him.

He raps his strong country arms around me and pulls me closer to him closing any space between us. I crashes his lips into mine and I twirl my fingers in his hair. He takes a sharp intake of a breath and pushes me against the wall making sure not to hurt me.

He puts his hands on my legs going to pick me up when I stop him and say," You can't your leg." He pulls away and says," God dam it." I cup his face with my hands and say smiling," But we can still do this." I trail kisses up his neck "and this." I kiss his lips deepening each kiss till were making out.

He licks my bottom lip asking for entrance but i don't let him. He pulls away and says," Whats wrong babe." I look away blushing and say," I've never frenched kissed before. He smiles a slick smile and says," let me show you."

He pushes me back against the wall and puts one hand on the wall, and the other on my cheek will, rubbing my face with his thumb. I rap my arms around his neck and start playing with his hair again.
