Chapter 37

"Do you have everything Katelyn?" My mom says as she slams the tale gate shut "No." I say grumbling "Well go get it. We have to get on the road." "UUUHHHHH."

I walk slow and slouchy back to the house to grab my bags that I don't want to put in the truck.

When Derrick comes out of the house with my infinity ring in one hand and my bags in the other. He holds the little shiny ring out to me and says ," Forgetting something?" I put my hand out and he slides it on my finger. "I didn't forget it cause I'm not leaving. Go put my bags back in the my room." He kiss my forehead and says," I can't my leg already hurts from going up those stairs once I'm not doing it again." "Fine. I'll go put them back."

I grab bags out of Derricks hands but he want let go of them. I start yanking on the handles but he still won't let go. "Derrick let go." I say through closed teeth. "I want your mom to like me."

He steals a kiss from my lips and walks to the car. I run after him telling him to put my bags down. When I get grabbed from behind into a huge hug. I only know one person that gives hugs like that. Raymond squeezes me to death and says,"A huge a day keeps the doctors away." Raymond says with a smile. "Yea so if I stay here i never have to go to the doctors."

He grabs me into another huge hug and says," You come back soon we're going to miss you." Still hugging him I say," You know we still have a chance of driving the truck into the river."

He laughs in my ear and says," Go grab the keys and do it." He pushes me away and says," Go go." I run out the gate and to the truck.

I grab the keys and throw them in the field. My mom didn't see so where still good. Someone grabs me from behind and says ," I saw that." I spin around and put my finger to his lips and say," Shhhh." He smile against my finger and pulls me into a kiss.

His lips a soft and warm, warming me up from the cold morning air. He grabs my hips and pulls me into him. I put my hands on his shoulders sinking into his kiss then i push him away running off to the big field of hay. where the keys are hiding some where.

He runs after me yelling," That's not fair I wasn't ready." I yell be hind me ," You just have to catch me." I run around in circles with Derrick on my tail.

When I see Stephen and Adam's trucks flying down the rocky road.

So I run out of the field, over the cattle guard watch was a little tricky, and down the gravel road I run straight for the cars not stopping and neither is Stephen or Adam. Almost to them I'm thrown to the ground and Stephen and Adam go flying by me.

Derrick gets up and wipes off his back and says," I got you." He reaches a hand out and I grab it pulling my self up off the ground.

I grab his hand and say," Don't be so sure." We walk back to the house and see Everyone sitting around on tail gates talking.

Derrick and I walk up and I jump into the car to sit on a comfortable seat. While Derrick stands in front of me between my legs. Everybody's quit and starring at us. I look at them with a confused expression and say," What are you all staring at?"

Adam that I haven't talked to for as long as I've been here says," Katelyn where's the keys." I look around at everyone and say," First of all why do you think I took them and second of all there just keys and third of all there's another pair."

Stephen gets up pushes Derrick out of the way throws me over his shoulder and brings me to the ditch were there's a metal beam that goes over it.

He walks to the middle of the beam and stands there dangling me over the edge. He says,

" Where are the keys."

I say," I don't know go ask someone else." We stand there for awhile him rocking back and forth loosing his balance a couple times. Derrick standing there looking very pissed.

When Adam comes over and says,"Let me try something." Stephen walks off the wobble beam and drops me on my ass.

"Awww." I say annoyed. Derrick comes over to help me when Stephen grabs his and pulls them behind his back and says," Sorry but this is strictly brother and sister businesses." Adam bends over and starts tickling me. Shit I knew he was going to do this. Ever since I was little Adam has always tickled me to get stuff out of me ands its always worked.

He keeps tickling me. I'm can't breath and I'm probably trying different colors by the look on Derricks face.

I was just about to say the field when we hear the roar of pipes on truck coming down the road everybody looks up not knowing who's truck it is. But I just look at Derrick cause I'd recognise that grey jacked up truck any where. It was Trent blasting music with my sister in the passenger seat hanging all over him. I jump up and run to Derrick and say," I thought he was gone." Derrick keeps staring at the truck probably more surprised then me and says,"Me too."

Stephen let's go of Derrick and Derrick says," Stephen Adam if you think I'm bad Trent my big brother is a lot worse. If I were you I'd help keep Trent far away from Cortney and Katelyn."

All three guys exchange a look and walk over to the truck flying into the drive way. Derrick pushed me behind him and all three of them walk over to the huge truck.

I walk over to everybody else and say," This is Trent Derricks brother but he's not a good guy and he needs to stay away from Cortney."

Raymond walks up to the other boys and my mom and me follow right behind him. Trent and Cortney jump out of the truck and grab hands. We all stand there with are arms crossed.

Cortney tries to push through but we don't let her. Stephen grabs Cortney's arm and brings her to his truck.

Trent walks after her and Raymond nicely says," And where are you going." Trent brushes him off and walks past him to get clam Cortney.

Raymond says a little to late," I don't think that's a gooo....."

"Uffffff." Stephen punches Trent in the face as he was just a touch away from Cortney's hand.

Cortney jumps down to Trent and starts blabbing hysterically. About "Oh Trent are you OK? Are you bleeding? Do need a ice pack? Let me kiss it? I'm sorry he's a bastard anyway." I elbow Stephen lightly and say," You didn't have to punch him. I mean I love a good fist fight but. You gotta stop punching peoples boyfriends." I show a smile so he knows I'm kidding and he nudges me back and says," Then stop bring home such winey guys."He says before pushing Cortney out of the way jumping on Trent and punch his face like crazy.

Every punch is harder and harder. A pinch in the stomach to even watch. He punches the bastard for at least a minute before Raymond says,"Son don't kill him. STEPHEN STOP. STEPHEN YOUR GONNA KILL HIM." Stephen doesn't stop till Adam pulls him off of a bloody bruised on unconscious Trent.
