So it's been a while and I'm sorry! This chapter is literally 3.5K words, I couldn't find a good stopping point so it's pretty long, probably my longest chapter. Hope you enjoy!!!

Chapter 24 - Transferring Visions, Crude Comments, and Kissing Him Goodbye

"Scarlett. Scarlett!” I could hear Chris’ voice above me. I sat up, still shocked and confused. “What the hell was that?” I heard him ask.

“What do you mean?” I looked up at him, his blue eyes gazing into mine with confusion.

“Rachel.” There was nothing, I couldn’t register what he had just said.

“What?”

“I saw Rachel d-” I sat up, my face hurt like no other. How the hell could he have seen that? Better question would be how the hell could I see it? I got up off the ground and dusted myself off.

“What are you talking about?” I decided to play dumb, I mean what am I going to tell him? That I can see what’s going to happen in the future. He’s going to think I’m a nutcase. Well, maybe not since he saw it too. Oh damn it all to hell. I feel so confused, I don’t know what to do other than get back to Rachel’s house and leave this God forsaken town. Chris looked at me in confusion. I walked to the car leaving him behind. He can walk home, or call Jake. I got in the car and left with him yelling out my name. The ride to Rachel’s house was bad. I kept seeing her death in my mind. I kept feeling the helplessness and hopelessness I felt in that one instant, watching him point the gun and squeezing the trigger. Parking her car, I got out with the bag in my hand and ran into the house. Rachel was pacing around her room on her cell phone. The moment I opened the door she turned towards me, dropped the phone from her ear and rushed to me, wrapping her arms around my neck.

“Thank God! I thought something happened!”

“Chris was in the back seat, we have to hurry. He’s probably sending the plates on your car in.” I dumped the bag on her bed picking up the one’s I got for her, shoving them into her arms.

“Take my bathroom and I’ll go to my parents.” I ran to her bathroom, tore open the box of dye, getting to work.  Forty-five minutes later, my hair was a midnight red. Rachel came into the bathroom with her light blonde hair; she looked pretty good with blonde hair, the blue contacts were striking with the blonde. I still had to put my contacts in. “Damn girl, you’d make any straight girl swerve, that red is hot on you.” I looked at her in shock; that was probably the crudest comment she’s ever said. I was so dumbfounded that she had to shake me out of it.

“Where the hell did that come from?”

“What?”

“What the hell you just said.”

“Oh, I’ve been hanging around Jake too long, he’s changing me.” I smiled. They were astoundingly cute together. Taking the contacts out of the box, I put them in. We went back to her room, got her bag and my duffle bag that had the money and passports in it. I grabbed her arm, holding her back.

“Should we change our clothes?” I asked in a whisper, not knowing why I was whispering. She looked at me like I was mentally challenged. Then she looked down behind me, thinking about it.

“That actually doesn’t sound too bad of an idea.” She looked me up and down, assessing me. “I’ll get you some of my mom’s clothes. Your hair is about the same length. Do you have any sneakers in your bag?” I shook my head no. “You still wear a size seven right?” I nodded. She went to her closet and got a pair of white sneakers and stuffed them in her duffle bag. “I’m going to go get some of my parents’ clothes.” She dropped the duffle bag on the floor before running to her parent’s room. She came running back to me after ten minutes looking a lot like her father in his clothes. She had a pair of dark wash jeans and a black top. The black top had over-sized sleeves and a deep V-neck both in front and in the back. The top was snug under the bust and flowed out like a baby doll shirt.
