Today was my first day of school. The bus slowed down for me and I took a deep breath pushed my glasses up and carried my books and scrapbook to my chest before getting onboard.
The first kid I saw had a white long sleeved shirt with a icy blue vest and some tan pants. I sat next to him and introduced myself. Even though I get shy meeting new people.
"Hello I'm Medow Clovergreen." I said to him kind of quietly. I was surprised he heard me at all.
"Hello I am Zane Julien pleased to make your acquaintance." he said to me in a orderly manner. I looked at him strangely but said nothing.
The bus made another stop and a kid came in and sat in the seat across from us. He had a blue t-shirt and matching blue ripped jeans. And had headphones around his neck.
"Hey Zane who's the new kid."
"This is Meadow Clovergreen. Meadow this is Jay Walker. He is the imbecile one." He said and opened his mouth again.
"It mean stupid and idiotic." I said before him I slid my glasses up agian. He looked at me surprised.
"Hey!"this was Jay. We both laughed at his commotion.
"Well Zane here is 'non-human' one in other words a nindroid." Jay said. Zane nodded which I knew meant "its true".
Next came on another kid with messy spiked up brown hair, a red shirt with a flame pattern, a red sweater and beige shorts he sat in the seat in front of Jay. There was a girl behind him, his sister I guess. She had a sleeve-less red shirt with a phoenix design and a red skirt. He sat with his brother. He looked mean with his amber eyes and scar, so I tried to shrink back and prayed he wouldn't notice me. But he did.
"Hi I'm Kai Smith. That's my sister Nya Smith." They both held out there hands I shook both.
"I'm Meadow Clovergreen." I said a little confident. I pushed my glasses up.
"Kai here is the hot-head. Nya is the independent one." Jay said staring at Nya.
"Jay what did we talk about?" Kai told Jay. I could tell he was overprotective of his sister.
"Right, boundaries."
The bus made a final stop and two more kids came on board.
One had black kind of sideswept hair, a back sweatshirt, and black sweatpants. The other had blonde hair that looked similar to the first guy, a lime green sweater and dark green knee-length shorts. The first one sat across Kai and Nya and the other with Jay.
"Hi I'm Cole Brookstone, I have the strengths here."
"Hi I'm Lloyd Garmadon I am the leader here."
"Meadow Clovergreen nice to meet you." It went silent for a while until Lloyd broke it.
"So Meadow, how long have you been here?" he asked me trying to start a conversation.
"Well I just moved here two days ago. At my old school I- well maybe I shouldn't utter." I pushed my glasses up.
They looked at me "huh?" they said in sync.
"It's another word for say." Zane said followed by some agreement in understanding. They all told me to say my past.
"Ok"
