I'm starting to get used to dance practice with Cole. I understand if Lou just wants to look out for him but he's got to learn what his own son wants.

Even though I'm supposed to be dancing with Cole I had to do a solo for a grade. I put some ear buds in with our practice song and then did what I was supposed to.

But something went wrong and I took a wrong step, tripping over my own feet. I regained my balance but then yanked off the ear buds.

"Why is this so much easier whenever someone's dancing with me?!" I shouted and tried calming down. When I did, I put the music back on and started doing my solo. Only this time my jump was where I messed up and I fell back. I got ready for impact but it never came.

I felt someone holding me up and I saw Lloyd, which made me question how he knew I was falling.....

But realizing how we looked together made me blush. We were in a position where it looked like we just tangoed. My face heated up.

"Good thing I heard you yell in frustration. Why are you dancing? Our practice isn't until two days." He handed me some water and a towel to put around my neck.

"I'm not practicing for that. Cole's dad switched me to his Royal Blacksmith program. Mainly to help Cole but now I have to solo dance for a grade. And I can't! I get stage fright and mess everything up!" I buried my head into the towel.

"Meadow, I'll help you."

"You're used to partner dancing, I'm used to solo dancing. It'll be easy." Lloyd put a hand out. I took it.

"What do you fear the most?"

"Everyone watching me, judging me and laughing at all my mistakes." I looked down remember my past at other schools and how everyone would bully me.

"Forget about that fear. Think of the good. Pretend that you're somewhere you enjoy to be alone." I imagined the deck of the bounty at night.

"Ok now what?" I asked.

"Don't talk, just move." I felt him leave and I started dancing. On my spin, which was supposed to be at least seven seconds, I felt a rapid change to my body. I didn't stop but when I opened my eyes I saw I was in a magenta and dark purple tornado. Spinjitzu. I waited for it to stop. I squealed.

"I just did spinjitzu for the first time!" I exclaimed in my enjoyment.

"Heh, same words I said." Lloyd smiled.

+++++

"Do you think I'll be allowed to do that when my solo comes up?" I said as we went to Lloyd's get away place.

"Well, we try not to do spinjitzu at school. But because you're barely learning it, I think you'll be able to do it without getting in trouble." He winked.

"Lloyd......?" I asked.

"Yeah?"

"Do you ever wish you weren't a ninja?" I turned to look at him.

"Why? Is this too much for you? I mean I could probably get Sensei Wu to stop training you....."

"No, I want to be one! It's just a question that crossed my mind." I said.

"Oh.......well, when I was young, I hated the original four. Like I said, I wanted to be like my dad. When I found out that I was the green ninja, I had to train all the time and no one would let me fight. I kinda just wanted to be a normal kid again. But I stayed a ninja. I eventually learned that I was meant to be the green ninja. I think that when I learned you were going to be a ninja as well, you made me realize just how much more important my role is. And that gave me more reason to continue making new memories as a ninja......." He blushed saying that last part. Honestly I did as well.
