Ch. 81 The Worst Date Ever

(Crystal's POV)

"I don't think they're coming." Zane sighed next to me.

"Aww! I was hoping for this to be a triple date!" Flare whined and crossed her arms. Truth was, I was hoping for that as well.

"I'd actually love to tease Lloyd for dating Meadow, buuuut I'm really hungry right now and want to order." Kai sighed.

We had asked Flare and Kai to come along with us after Lloyd had left his room. I looked towards the entrance of the restaurant.

"Just give them a few more minutes." I said.

Sure enough, both Lloyd and Meadow came through the doors. They were looking around for us. So Zane waved them over and they walked to our table.

It was a round table, so easy access to leave if Lloyd had a problem.

"Hehe, sorry we're late, we got held up......by birds." Lloyd nervously laughed.

"Well, now that we're all here, we should probably order since Kai wanted to eat." Zane stated.

"Finally!" Kai shot his hands in the air, getting looks from some other people.

Well after we had ordered we had started talking.

"So, why did you ask Meadow out? And why did Meadow say yes.....?" Kai smirked at them. I saw both Meadow and Lloyd's faces grow red.

"Uh......." They both said at the same time. It's honestly adorable, they're just so cute together!

Just in time to save them, our waiter came to put down the food. I saw them both give a sigh of relief.

"Is there anything else I can help you with?" He asked.

"No, thank you." We all said in sync.

We all started eating and talking, but eventually we were all done with our food and just talking. Zane was making me smile and blush with his compliments. Honestly, I did the same to him to him to see how it felt.

(Lloyd's POV)

I was honestly having a lot of fun. Even if I was lying about myself.....

"Yeah, I was always trying new things when I was young. Sure I unleashed the serpentine, but that takes guts. I remember when I was younger, I used to be able to get out of cages if I was locked into them by the other kids at Darkley's." I told her.

"Wow, really? That's amazing! I've always been timid and shy, but I guess that's just a part of who I am, it actually helped me a lot, if I wasn't like that, I wouldn't have been needing to move school after school..........and I wouldn't have met you." She blushed and looked away from me. She was actually being honest about herself......? I cleared my throat.

"You know, somebody had once told me, that you sometimes have to-" I stopped and realized that I bit my lip trying to talk. I grabbed a spoon and looked into it to make sure that I was not bleeding, but instead I saw something different and covered my mouth, getting up. I turned to Meadow with a hand still over my mouth.

"Um....excuse me." I quickly went into the restroom. Thankfully no one was in there. I locked the door on the inside of the restroom to make sure no one entered.

I looked into into a mirror at a sink, looking at my teeth. There were two pearly white, sharp vampire fangs that had just grown. But I also saw that my skin had been turning a paler color.

"I'm turning into a vampire!" I gasped out loud to no one.

I sighed and sat on the floor, making sure it was wasn't wet. Now what was I going to do? I can't let Meadow see me like this!

She's going to freak out at the sight of me and then never speak to me again! It's all my fault for getting cut on that potion beaker!

A tear landed on the back of my hand. I didn't even realize that I was crying. Soon enough tears just came raining down.

"I-I'm sorry Meadow for *sniff* making t-t-this the worst date e-e-e-e-ever........" I cried out loud, not being able to speak clearly.

I rubbed my watery eyes and looked back into the mirror, still sniffling. My eyes were red from crying and my skin was now completely white.

"Maybe you should just tell her the truth....." I mumbled and unlocked the door. Thankfully no one had been waiting outside to use it.

I went to out table to tell Meadow the truth, but she wasn't at the table. No one was, I saw that the bill had been paid, and they left a tip.

Where is everyone.....?
