(Chelsie)

"Hey Flick!"

"Ya!" I replied, waving at my friends from my position on the roof.

"What're you doin' up there?"

"Scouting," I answered. Miki, my only female friend, motioned for me to come down. I slipped over the edge of the roof, dropping onto the metal awning a few feet below and dropping to the ground afterward.

"You seriously should move on from here. You're good enough to be an assassin," Miki commented as I approached her and my other two friends.

"Maybe she is an assassin," Loco said, his voice a mere whisper. "She's so good that no one knew she had already started."

"Yeah, good one," Skrap replied. "She's far too innocent-minded to kill someone."

I sighed and looked at the taller boy, waiting until his blue eyes met mine before speaking. "I am a scout. Clearly I'm not that innocent."

"Whatever," Skrap replied, running a hand through his messy red hair. "Can you give me a buzz?"

"Sure," I said with a shrug. I led them to my crib, pulling out my sharpest knife and dousing his head in water from a bowl. He sputtered under the water, causing us to laugh. I waited until he settled down to start.

"Every time," he muttered as I grabbed a section of wet hair.

"And you're still surprised," Miki said.

I focused on cutting his hair, knowing how short he liked it. Since it had been about a year since I last cut it, I had to cut off about two inches. He liked to have hair fall just above his left brow, so I razored a decent section to rest just how he liked it.

"She's sneaky about it."

"I'm fast, not sneaky," I stated, razoring the back in even layers. Once that was finished, I made sure the front was even. "Done."

"You have to show me how to get that fast." I looked at Loco and raised a brow.

"You wouldn't want to go through my training. The entire first year I never awoke without some sort of pain in my body."

"I bet I could deal with it."

"Hundred push ups. Go." His jaw fell, causing me to smirk. "That was my first workout. He said that I couldn't get up until I finished all one hundred."

"That's impossible."

"It took me the entire day."

"What's the point of that?" Skrap asked. "There's nothing good about over-exerting yourself."

"It wasn't the workout that was the lesson," I said, moving to the ground. I began to clean up the clumps of hair scattered around. "He taught me to learn my limits so I could pass them." I looked up after a moment of silence, finding all three sets of eyes on me. I smiled and stood up, taking the hair and throwing it out of my crib.

"I want to train," Miki stated.

"If you do, I won't go easy on you. I'll teach you just like Hitch taught me," I firmly replied as I returned to where they were. "When you start, you have to finish."

"I'm in too," Skrap joined. I looked to Loco, whose brown eyes shone with intense determination.

"Me too."

"One hundred. All of you," I stated, dropping to the ground once more to relive the training of the man I respected so highly.
