Emma's POV
"EMMAAAAA!!!!!!!"
My mom yelled, "It's time to get up! It's your first day of senior year."
I got up, went in front of my mirror, and said to myself, Well, it's your first day of senior year. Continue to try to be good.
Then I went to the bathroom, took a hot bath, washed my hair, brushed my teeth, wrapped myself in a towel, and went back to my room.I dried my hair and said to myself, "What should I wear?"
After a few minutes of not being able to decide, I sat on my bed and called my little sister.
"AMBER!" I yelled.
"Yeah?" she answered.
"GET IN HERE!" I cried.
She came in with her hands folded. "What's the matter?" she said, sounding annoyed.
"I can't decide what to wear," I said childishly.
"Great!" she said and hopped into my closet.
"What to choose? What to choose," I heard her mutter under her breath.
She came out with my black hoodie and skinny jeans.
"Sweet, my favorite suit," I said with a big smile on my face.
"Yeah, whatever," Amber said and walked back to her room.
I started to put on my outfit when Mom yelled, "Emma, breakfast is ready! If you don't hurry, you'll be late on your first day!"
I hurried and got dressed, threw my hair into a messy bun, did my makeup, grabbed my phone and book bag, and ran downstairs.
"Sweet! Macaroni and cheese," I said sarcastically.
I put my book bag on the island and hurriedly ate my food so I could run upstairs to brush my teeth.
"Emma, I'm leaving you!" Mom yelled from downstairs.
I ran downstairs again, slipped on my Converse, and walked to the car.
"Shit, my book bag!" I said, realizing I'd forgotten it. I ran back inside, grabbed it off the island, and sprinted back outside to the car.
"Get in! We're already late," Mom said.
I got in, buckled my seatbelt, and stared out the window. The ride to school was rather quiet. It was about a half-hour drive, and finally, we arrived.
I unbuckled my seatbelt and grabbed my book bag.
"Love you, Mom," I said.
"Love you, Emma," she replied.
I opened the door, got out, shut it, and started walking off when Mom called after me, "Now be good, sweetheart."
"Yeah, Mom, whatever," I said, waving her off.
I stopped in front of the huge sign:
PEN WOOD HIGH SCHOOL
I sighed softly and stepped inside the building.
