Chapter Twelve

So I didn't have to do research or anything. Harry did it and told me everything. Such a great friend. Ron, however, is pissed off that I'm dating Draco. So we're not talking. My life from Yule Ball until now. Draco and I walk down the docks. I look around for my twin, but don't see that particular red head.

"Have you seen Ginny?" I ask Draco.

"No. Not since dinner last night. We might see her before though."

"I hope so."

We get in the last boat and it floats off to the destination. I have a spell that should work for the challenge, but I'm still nervous. I gather with the other Champions. Fleur and I quickly remove our cover ups and line up with the boys. I make sure my wand is strapped to my leg. Dumbledore goes over the rules.

The moment the cannons fire, I dive in the freezing water. Quickly using my wand, I transform me into a mermaid. The problem is I only know what Disney mermaids look like. So I look a lot like Areal. But I can't waste a good amount of the hour upon it.

I swim off, following Cedric, but loose him in the forest of seaweed. I hear something and swim faster. I keep going until a see a village of merpeople. None look like how I do, so I just blush and swim till I see Harry with five others. One of which is Ginny. As I get closer, I see Fleur's sister, Ron, Hermione, and Cho with her.

Clearly one for each of us. I quickly swim to my sister and grab my wand. I mutter a simple spell and grab her arm. We rise out of the water the same time as Cedric and Cho. The two treasures takes a deep breath and we swim to the docks. Fleur was there, freaking out. She didn't make it in time.

Soon Hermione and Krum break through. Did I ever mention those two are going out right now? Kind of cute. And Ron is bloody jealous of Krum. The hour ticks down and Harry, or anyone else, has come back. That's when my idiot brother and Fleur's sister comes.

"Somethings not right," I mutter when Harry doesn't show up. I drop my towel and take off running. In midleap, I use the spell from before and swim after Harry. I find in the seaweed forest, being attacked by squid like creatures.

I start humming, drawing their attentions. They freeze long enough for Harry to attack. I start feeling a bit dizzy, so my spell doesn't last long. Harry grabs my hand and uses a spell that pulls us through the water.

We fly through the air until we land on the finish line. The land had knocked the wind right out of me. Draco helps me up and others rush to make sure Harry is okay. I wrap a towel around me to warm up.

"Thanks," Harry smiles. Dumbledore arrives to announce the placing. I tied with Cedric for first. Harry's second for making sure everyone was safe. Krum scored third. And Fleur last. Once that was over we all leave to warm up. Just one more challenge left.
