"Why... Why all of a sudden do you want me home?" She asked. He replied, "I'm sorry I miss you. Can you just come back?" "Fine, but please be nice, I love you." "I love you too." After that they both hung up.
She explained once again to the grandma of the child how the family is okay and she wants to come home. She began to drive home. Thinking back to when the father slapped the mother on her stomach while she was pregnant almost having a miss carriage... Her thoughts began to race. She got afraid and angry. She arrived home after many hours of a drive and stayed quiet for weeks.
By this time after many months of staying with family in Arizona and being home, the baby was five. She now understands what some things mean but now completely. The mother and father began to fight on and on and on until the father said "I want a divorce."
Sad thing is that never happened. The child learned for the most part to raise herself. Got food from the fridge and went to school like a normal kid. The days got longer and the nights got shorter. Years and years went on. Nothing has changed.. In fact the parents got ten times as worse as some got put in jail for physical assault but got out and put in a mental facility for many months. May had 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. At this time they were taking care of her, walking with her to school and back.
When the parents got home, May was now 8 years old. She met her best friend which took her mind off things that were negative. She began to hangout more and more with that friend and her personality began to shine. She became a beautiful kid. The only thing that stopped her was her parents.
And don't get me wrong they were very loving and caring parents, they just didn't know what they wanted. I mean I guess you can also say May was kind of a mistake but they never said anything. The parents kept it to themselves and life went on.
