Everyday when my eyelids shoot open to be met with my the white dull ceiling in my bedroom, I have never had a smile on my face. It was never fun waking up. I would always feel sleepy and want to put my covers over my head and never get up.
But today was different.
My eyes didn't meet up with dullness and just plain emptiness.
They were met with sunlight. Happiness.
The bright sun shining bright at me. Sure, it made my eyes squint but it didn't matter. A smile was plastered on my face. That was all that mattered.
I look to my left to see a sleeping Reese. She looked peaceful. Her hair looked soft as well. I ran my fingers through her long, brown hair. I could feel my smile getting wider.
My heart started beating faster when her eyes were now locked with mine. But as soon I as I saw her eyes, I was lost. And I don't think I could find my way back.
When I was looking into her eyes, I felt like I was looking at more than just her hazel eyes. More like looking into her soul; seeing more of Reese Ellington.
Of who she was.
But all of that was ripped away from me when she cleared her throat.
"You know, you could just take pictures. Then you could stare at them for as long as you want." She smirked. I rolled my eyes and got off the grass.
I yawned. "I'm going to go freshen up before breakfast." Her eyes were looking up at the sky. "Don't you just love making yourself at home?" Laughter escaped my lips as I walked into her house and headed up the stairs.
"Nova." A familiar voice called out. Snapping my head up, there was Rick who was standing in front of me with guilt all over his face.
"Hi Rick." I greeted. This was going to be quite interesting because not once has Rick ever apologized to me. It was always me because I love to annoy him. "What's up?" I asked him. "I'm guessing you we're with Reese last night?" I nodded and he sighed. "Listen, I want you to know how extremely sorry I am for kinda setting you up. It was a stupid way to get you to join the club. So please accept my apology because I didn't think it would make me so sad at the thought of losing you." He pleaded.
I grinned widely and pulled Rick into a hug. "I forgive you, Ricky bear. Now I have to go freshen up. See you downstairs." I played with his hair and went into the bathroom.
"Okay...and don't call me Ricky bear!" Shouted Ricky. I chuckled and shut the bathroom door.

Buttonwood park was one of the most known Parks here. It was a very friendly place. If you came here, you would see plenty of people with smiles and just happiness.
It was a very lovely sight.
My eyes we're glued to the swing set. I haven't been on those in years! I ran towards them and jumped onto the swing.
"You act like you're four years old, Nova."Venus joked while sitting on the bench. "Whatever, I'm having fun!"
"Hey, isn't that Reese Ellington over there?" I followed Venus's index finger that was pointing at Reese, who was having a conversation with Heidi.
"The hell are they doing here?" I muttered very softly so Venus would hear.
The two were talking but it didn't look like a nice conversation. By the looks of it, Reese's almost looked confused; As if she was wondering why? or how?
