"Are you kidding me?" Eunice says, taking our attention.

Eugene looks at her. "Why? Is there something wrong with walking her to her class?" He shrugs as he cluelessly looks at each of us.

Eunice didn't respond. She looks annoyed though. And we all went silent.

"Eugene. We can take care of ourselves, you know." Dustin speaks. Finally, someone to break the awkward silence. "It's not like we're 3-year olds."

Eugene shuts up but then looks at me. "Can I walk you to your next class?"

I sigh, shrugging my shoulders. "Why?."

To be honest, I don't want him to walk me to class. I don't know why, but I feel like it's weird if ever.

"You know what," Dustin speaks up. "Time's running. We should probably go."

By that, Dustin suddenly took my hand to his and pulled me along with him. I was really surprised by his action, but then I figured out that maybe he just really wanted to get away with those two already.

When we had already exited the cafeteria, I thought it was kind of him to pull me away there, but he didn't have to hold my hand anymore so I stopped, preventing him to advance anymore due to his hand still wrapping mine. He realizes that and quickly frees my hand. He turns to face me.

"Stay away from Eugene." He abruptly started. "Or better yet, from us."

I frowned, confused as to why he'd said that.

"You know, that would do me a favor a lot too." I tell him. "It's just that, apparently, my cousin thinks that she's the best cousin in the world if she drags me along with her insanity."

He snorted, offending me in so many ways. "You can always turn around and walk away from her if you really wanted to."

I stare at him, his eyes scrutinizing me. What is this guy's problem?

"Excuse me." I waived off as I shove myself past him. I don't have time to waste on people like him.

"I'm serious." He said behind me but I just ignored him.

Classes quickly came to an end and for sum, English was the only class that I didn't have with Eunice. It was actually a great achievement for my patience's limitation.

Thinking back about what that Dustin guy told me, there's nothing I can really do about it. I didn't even wanted Eunice dragging me around with her in the first place. Of course I could just avoid her like what he said, but not now when I'm finally trying to change.

I used to push everyone away from my life. I didn't want anyone making me feel something special then leave me after. It happened to me several times and I'm so sick of it that it eventually made me an introvert. But now, after everything, I atleast wanted to be nice and not rude. Don't get me wrong. It's still hard for me to accept someone in my life and let anyone hurt me. I'm still in that phase. Only this time, I don't want pushing them away. I let them hang around me but not let them enter my life. I was giving them a chance and at the same time, myself for others.

And as for Dustin, if he doesn't like me then I don't really care. I won't do something just because he asked me to.

"Alys, you'll really love the place! I mean, not really the place but the foods they offer." Eunice told. She has been talking for awhile now about this popular food place in this town. To be honest, I don't really care. All I could really care of right now is to go home early. But Eunice made that out of my reach since she's so determined about going to that place she keeps on talking about, plus the guys are taking too long.

Apparently, Eunice had convinced me to wait for the guys because she wants them to come with us. So here we are, sitting on one of the benches in the campus, waiting for Eugene and Dustin.

She informed me that those two play football and they have after school practice. It was mind blowing why we're even waiting for them when clearly they will take more than an hour long late because of their practice. Now this only means me, getting stuck with Eunice and her non-ending stories slash talkative mouth.

"Alys, I'm saying this not because I'm sure of it. It's just an assumption and I'm really, like really, bothered about it. So, yeah." Eunice said as I took my phone and earphones out of my bag's pocket to listen to some music and not Eunice's machine gun mouth instead. "Thethingisithinkfrmfnfndnd." She continued, saying it so fast I didn't even understand a word. But anyway though, I'm not really interested in what she's currently saying.

I started plugging my set of earphone in my phone and the buds to my ear. I looked at Eunice first before playing a song ahead.

"Sorry but I'm going to listen to some songs for awhile." I told her, informing her that I'd dive into the world of music.

"What?!" She shouted. "Did you even listen to what I've told you?!" She fumed.

"Oh," I muttered. "Anyway, just saying. Talk to you later." I finished before tapping a song on my phone.

I closed my eyes and leaned against the bench, making myself comfortable. This is the kind of fun I like.
