Chapter 5

The bright rays of the sun woke me up. If it wouldn't be too obvious to them, I wouldn't go out of my room the whole day.

I want to hit my head against the wall, just in case, I will wake up and realize that the thing between me and Drew was over long time ago but here I am still freakin' hoping that one day it will soon be okay and back to it's old track. Before Stacey even showed to the picture.

If there is just a drug that I can take that would make me forget all of the pain that I had experienced from him and would wake me up from this thing, I would take it. But amidst all of this pain, I am still thankful that he once became a part of my life. I will be always indebted to him for what he had left me.

Good thing it is just 7am and I can still manage to lessen the soreness in my eyes.

I always have a cucumber in the mini fridge in my room. I had it because, I don't want Den to see me in such state. Even if she is my bestfriend, I can't manage to always make her worry about me.

After an hour, I managed to make the eyes look normal. I had also finished my morning routines and I managed to take a quick shower because it is still freezing cold. It is in February and still the breeze feels like it is still winter.

I immediately went out of my room to cook us something. We have maids but they only come here on weekends to wash our clothes and clean the house. My reason for not having maids in our house is I want some more privacy. I had lost my privacy in the Philippines since I am a celebrity.

I was about to open the fridge to fish out something that I can cook, when a saw a note.

"He is still the same person that had become your bestfriend and you loved but we all know you can't go back to where you were before. The truth and secrets will be unleashed in the right time. But for now, be brave and smile. We are always here for you."
-Bri and Den

Truth and secrets? Hmm. I think I can hide them till my last breath. I can't bear to let the world know about anything. They can't know.

I put the note on my pocket and proceeded to my original plan which is cooking. I settled with some eggs, bacon, wheat bread, dumplings, kimchi and leftover rice.

I was currently frying the eggs, on the other part of the stove the dumpling are on the process of steaming and coffeemaker had finished brewing when Drew came in the kitchen.

"Uhm. Good Morning Drew. Coffee?" I asked hiding the race in my heart. He still has that effect on me.

"Good Morning Nic. I'll do it." He said and started doing what he must.

"Nic! Please don't tell me that I am smelling some kimchi now." Den shouted. She is still on the staircase and she is shouting like I did something wrong.

"Yeah! You're right Den. I did planned to make a Korean breakfast." I joked and I saw on the side of my eyes that Drew is smiling.

"Nic! What did I told you about Korean food? They're s-" I decided to cut her. I saw Drew sat on one of the stools.

"They're spicy, they taste weird and you don't like them. I know. So you better cook your own breakfast then?" I shouted to her. Well, she's still on the receiving area. I know she wouldn't come to the kitchen if there is Korean food.

"And you were long gone from your p-"

"Den! Why don't you come here and take a sip of coffee? Drew is enjoying his cup here. It's your favorite blend." I frantically shouted. I was nervous and at the same time startled that if I weren't that fast to cut her words she might get me into another chaotic scene.
