Chapter 25: Judging

Baekhyun's POV

I am confused, nervous and scared. I bit my lower lip trying to figure things out. Questions were all thrown to me like I know what the answer will be. My ears feel tired with the repeated questions. My mouth keep on gaping telling them that I did nothing. I could feel my throat throbbing after shouting at them telling them that I know nothing.

"I did nothing to her!" I shouted and everyone looked at me startled. "Is it so hard to understand that words? Is there any other meanings behind those words that I don't know?!" I pulled my hair in frustration and everyone eventually get into silence.

Out of everyone only one person who never take my words seriously. Who think I am lying. "How can we trust you? You must did something to her just like what Aay concluded," Lily scoffed.

"Shut it Lily," Aay snapped.

"Why?!" Lily asked her.

Before she can do something, Fifi jumped in both of their conversation breaking their electrifying glares. "Then tell us what happen?" Fifi asked.

"Oh," I uttered and start to tell them what I know and the only thing that they should know.

It was really uncomfortable. Miss Hazel is somewhat acting like a fangirl. She look funny but she's still beautiful. Its hard to ignore her questions so instead, I just tell her everything. When we finished talking, I walked inside with heated cheeks. She's really unbelievable.

I drink a glass of water to calm myself. After that, I was about to walk upstairs when I saw Zee rushing downstairs somehow terrified. I watched her but immediately stopped her when she almost put a hand on the doorknob to the entrance door. I grabbed her arm and turn her around.

"Zee--"

"L-let go of me," she pleaded with her fearful eyes. "I-I can't live here a-any longer!"

I scanned her worriedly and dragged her to the family hall. It was quiet in there so I bring her in and make her sit down on the couch. To my surprise, she immediately cried.

"Z-zee, did I hurt you?" I asked her worriedly. "I'm sorry." She shook her head.

"N-no. I'm j-just scared," she said.

"Why?"

"I h-hurt Aay."

"What?! What happened?"

"I don't know, I-I must've not t-think straight."

"You must have a reason."

"I h-hurt her a-and she must've h-hate me. What do I do?" She covered her face with both her hands. "I'm a t-terrible monster."

"No. You're not. Stop saying that," I said as I take her hands in my hands to uncover her face.

"W-what did I do?" She cried as I slowly embrace her.

It was all silence that occupied the air. I thought I was deaf when I can only heard her sobbing. After awhile, she broke the hug and suddenly grip both sides of my shoulders firmly.

"Baekhyun," she called out as she look straight into my eyes. Her grip make me flinch but her hands were still stuck on my shoulder. Her eyes look different. It... change. She doesn't even stuttered while calling my name which is unusual. The aura feels different.

"He said that?" She scoffed.

I blinked blankly staring at her. What did I just said? Did I even say something? Who is she actually referring to?

"Baekhyun, listen," she said sternly which shocked me. "You can say that I am fearful and acting like a mouse, but for your information, I am still Zee. If you do love me, then you should take back all those words."

What words? I never said that she was acting like a mouse. When did I? I will never ever say that. But her words strike me. I love her.

"I-I take back whatever I said," I told her blankly.

"All I need is help and support. I don't accept all of your complains so please... if you really do love me, wait for me and be more patient," she pleaded.

She's weird. She's acting really weird. This is not the fearful Zee. This is the real her but all I see in her eyes... it's all occupied with pain and anger.

"I know I've been acting as a stranger recently but I still have my heart and memories to guide me. I am good for awhile. I talked and laughed more. Sleep and eat normally. But then something happens, like a switch just turned off somewhere. And all I am left with is the darkness of my mind. But each time I feel like I sink deeper and deeper," she confessed and I can feel my heavy heart dropped down to my stomach.

"I'll be the light to lighten your mind then. I'll be here for you no matter what," I said sincerely. "If you sink deeper and deeper, I'll pull you up so that you can float higher and stop drowning. I'll save you even though I know I will risk my whole life."

She laughed which make me to look at her weirdly. But her laughed suddenly fade as she cried again. Her tears rolled down as she hug her knees.

"Zee?"

"If only you could read my mind, I bet you'll be in tears too," she sniffed.

I was about to pat her back when she suddenly grabbed hold of my wrist tightly. I winced in pain. I don't know she can be this strong. But its not that painful enough to make me die. Duh.

"Z-zee.. w-what are you doing? Are you crazy?" I asked trying to let go from her grip.

"Stop making me feel so pathetic. I don't need your pity at all," she glared at me. "Why did you always complained huh?"

I was really confused. When did I even complained? I never say anything like I'm tired of her or-- anything. I'll never get tired of her.

"What are you actually trying to say?! Why do you keep on talking nonsense?!" I shouted. Next thing I know, everyone rushed inside to see what's happening. Then, her eyes slowly widen and her grip on my wrist loosen. She look at me terrified then she apologized quickly. Her eyes change back to black. Pure black pupils. I feel guilty.

"I didn't--" I want to tell her that I am sorry.

"N-no. Its not y-your fault. G-go away. I-I might hurt you a-again," she cried terrified as she buried her head on her knees.

I am stubborn and I know that. But I listen well to her and distance myself from her. There must be something wrong. Did any of us tell her lies?

...

"Why does it sounds like someone was controlling her mind? Like telepathy?" Sehun said.

"I told you I did nothing," I glared at Lily.

"I'm sorry. I'm just worry," she apologized and I sighed.

"Forget it," I told her.

"Luhan," Xiumin called out as Luhan tilted his head towards him. "Are you trying to manipulate Zee?" He asked.

Uh, oh. He didn't just say that. Does those words really come out from his mouth? He didn't just judged his best friend. Did he? I must be dreaming.
