Chapter 54: Risky

Luhan's POV

Zee keeps on hitting her forehead. She was on the floor in front of Aay who is the first one to sense it. All of them changed their power because of their father. The sixth sense who was supposed to be Zee's suddenly got exchange with Aay.

Since it was Aay's first time having different powers and her first time using sixth sense, she felt pain.

"I hope I remember it," Zee muttered.

She closed her eyes. She put her palm on top of Aay's eyes. Her lips moved as if reciting something. She's going to do it. But suddenly, her arms rest on the floor. She look even paler.

"I can't do this. The spell is too strong. I guess I came too late," she panted.

I honestly hated this. I am helpless at the mean time.

"We need to get everyone here. The girls here. I'll try to do it all at once," she ordered. "Since they're all the first one to feel pain before it spread over to everyone."

The three of them are the domain. Zee is an exception. Since her mother was a human, she easily believed in something. She believe in angel, demon and whatever causing Zee to be having mixed blood but at the mean time, she's a normal human. But her father somehow wanted her to be an angel.

I widened my eyes at her decision. "Are you crazy?" I asked.

I did told her to do this because they will suffer to death. But at the same time, there's a high possibilities for her to get killed. Which make me shiver just by the thought of it. I don't want to loss hundreds or even thousands of my kinds. But at the same time, I don't want her to leave. But if I choose the latter, I'll be considered as selfish.

"I have no choice."

"You know that doing this at once can... can..." I couldn't even say the word. I was scared to death. But she only forced a smile.

"Luhan," her voice sounded so soft. "Human's blood is rushing in my body. And also the blood of... my father who is not an angel. And I know that being a human, death always trying to creep and chase me. Death is my destiny."

"You're still immortal. Death won't be chasing you!" I denied.

"You know that by doing this, there's a possibility of me losing my immortality immediately."

I just shook my head. "Tell me what I should do. I won't let you do this," I told her. "I'll do it! Tell me!"

"You can't. You never done it before," she said.

"I'll help you get the others then," her father interrupted stepping out of the cafe.

"I won't let you do this, Zee. You do hear me, don't you?" I asked.

"Raewoo, Hyunki, Mrs Lee and Mr Kim would feel the pain too. Because of this, every non-humans would feel pain. I need to remove the pain, Luhan. I've no choice," she said but I know she want to make a choice.

She's struggling. But if she do this, she would save thousands of lives.

"Angels on the Earth need to survive to help their chosen one. To do their task to drive humans away from darkness. And I need to make sure that every human have its own powerful angel," she tear up. And it seriously hurt me. I hate this so so much.

"But you could've been... killed," I finally mustered up.

"I would do this. As long as I was remembered for saving your kind lives. Luhan, I am part of the human and I wanted to thank your kind for helping us to not get lost. I know, and I didn't mean to do this but still. Death is my destiny."

I nodded and tried to accept the fact. I stood up and went to the kitchen. I saw Xiumin, Suho and there she is. Fifi. I slowly grabbed her arm and help her to get beside Aay. And soon, the door of the cafe open. Revealing Lily and her father.

"Here she is," he gently let her sit down beside Aay too.

Zee force herself to sit down straight. She closed her eyes and before she started everything, I spoke up.

"You know what Zee?" She never look at me. She just open her eyes letting me know that she was listening to me. "I hate you. So much."

She just smiled before she put a serious face and closed her eyes. She clasped her hands together and put it in front of her chest. Her pale lips started to move.

I hate this scene so much more than anything.

And as expected, the place that was once dark suddenly gets brighter. All of them that was once sick suddenly start to move and moaned after the impact of the brightness.

And the man who was beside me a moment ago suddenly disappear. And this is when we will be deciding either they gain their powers or not. But who cares? Not me after seeing Zee suddenly lying down on the floor.

I rushed towards her and grabbed her wrist feeling her pulse. It's the weakest pulse I ever felt. I quickly grabbed the phone and called for the ambulance.

"Zee, stay strong," I whispered.

Everyone are still recovering from all the pains. And Baekhyun isn't here.

"G-guys," I tried to catch their attentions.

"Ugh, what happened?" Xiumin asked after walking out from the kitchen.

So far, he's the first one to recover so fast. He can even stand up right away. I just answered him with my gaze looking at Zee.

"Oh, no! What happened?" He asked and start to panic too.

"She risks her life for everyone. I-I was helpless," my voice cracked remembering how helpless I was. But at the same time was proud after remembering how she tried to save thousands of lives at once.

Xiumin did the same as what I just did. Feel the pulse. He looked at me with wide eyes. "Will it be possible to save her? Her pulse - is just - weak - I mean too weak."

I put my hand on his arm with a hopeful eyes. "Let's just hope for a twist."

And I will try and not be as helpless as earlier. I won't do the same dumb mistakes ever again. I won't let someone who is a part of my life to bend or broke. I won't let them.

I won't let myself be in happiness while all of them in pain. I will help them. No matter what it is. I need to.

And I promised.
