Chapter 5: Get Ready To Eat My Dust!

I ran into the woods by the field. I ran through the trees until I heard a noise. I forgot to stop and ran headfirst into a tree. When my vision cleared, I looked up to see two crimson eyes staring at me. "Shadow! I found you!" "What do you want Faker?" "It's me. Nana." "No y-" "Just trust me on this. I need your help, fast!" "What is it?" "Can you Chaos Control to Shamar and get the real Sonic? Please?" "Why?" "Because the race is going to start very soon. And if you help me, I'll let you bring your motorcycle." He smirked at this and said, "Okay. I'll help. Chaos Control!" I watched him disappear, hoping he'd be back in less than three minutes. My ears swirled around, hearing a faint buzz in the sky. I ran to the gym and saw Tails coming in the Tornado-2 with Sonic's car. Terryn was watching and waving to him. "Stand clear! I'm setting Sonic's car down!" he called down to us. Slowly the car touched the ground and he landed the Tornado-2. He flew out and said, "Hi Terryn!" Then he looked at me. "Sonic? I thought you were in Shamar!" Terryn said, "That's Nana. Sonic is in Shamar, but she said she had a plan to bring the real Sonic back. What is your plan? You never told me." I just smiled. "When you told that someone said they saw Shadow, I thought, 'Shadow! He can use Chaos Control and bring Sonic back for the race!' Give me a sec." Sonic! You there? Yeah. I just saw Shadow! Great! Go to him. He's gonna bring you back using Chaos Control. Hurry! We have one minute left and Mario's crew is already here! Ok then. See ya in a few seconds! Terryn asked, "When is everyone else coming?" "Oh no! I forgot to get everyone else for Sonic's crew. I'm doomed." "No you're not! I called up everyone else for ya. Look! Here they come now!" Tails exclaimed. I looked up and saw Amy, Knuckles, Rouge, Omega, Silver, Blaze, Vector, Espio, Charmy, and even little Cream and Cheese! Immediately Amy hopped out of her car and said, "Sonic! There you are!" She ran toward me until Tails flew in and picked me up. "Amy, this isn't really Sonic! It's our friend Nana!" "Then why does she look like Sonic?" Suddenly a bright flash made everyone quiet. During the flash, pain started burning me again. When it stopped, Sonic and Shadow stood there and I was laying on the ground. I looked at my hands and saw they were my regular hands again! I returned to my  normal self. "Ten seconds left before race time!" Tails announced. I pulled Sonic and Shadow over to the side and said, "Thanks guys. Now go win that race!" I gave them both a big hug and they ran to their vehicles while I ran to the starting line holding the green flag. Sonic and Mario were side by side. "Ready..." "Let's do this!" everyone behind them shouted. "Set..." "You're roadkill Hedgehog!" Mario shouted. "GO!!" "Get ready to eat my dust Plumber!" They raced off. Unknowingly, I changed back into my Sonic form. I saw something flying above besides Tails' plane. The thing flew down and said, "I don't know how this happened, but I love it!" I recognized the voice as Terryn's. "Cool! Let's go best friend!" I said as she flew back up and I ran along to see who was the winner.
