It was in the afternoon after school. We were getting a visit from Mario and his crew because he promised he would come visit. We were just hanging out in the gym, playing basketball and chillaxing on the bleachers, floor, wherever we felt like taking a load off our feet. I was talking to Mario, thanking him for coming to see me and my friends. In honor of them visiting, everyone had brought their Nintendo devices to celebrate this rare occasion. I had borrowed my cousin's Super Mario Kart game so I wouldn't seem weird for inviting them but not honoring them. When I turned on my DSi, I wasn't at school anymore. I was INSIDE the game, flying above the stage. I saw the character I was playing with. Princess Daisy was driving forward, but while everyone else was turning, she wasn't. She shouted at me to do something. I looked at the DSi in my hand and decided to try controlling her Kart. I slowly began pressing the left arrow of the control pad, and she began to turn. Clearing the bend, she pulled up to where Luigi, Mario, Peach and Yoshi were. She passed them and was in first place. That is, until Mario electrocuted her and won by a landslide. After everyone crossed the finish line, I was zapped back out of the game, followed by Daisy, Mario, Luigi and the others. "Good race, Mario," I said. Next thing I know, I'm back in the game on a new race playing against this girl in my class named Makayla and my BFFA Terryn. Terryn was Yoshi, I was Daisy again, and Makayla was Luigi. We were in this glass tube-like thing racing underwater then it changed to the jungle. Mario kept on showing off by doing flips, spins and other stuff. I couldn't help being impressed. When the race ended, Mario was laughing at everyone for losing. We were back in the gym after that. I told Mario, "That's not funny. We're supposed to be having fun." He kept laughing until I used my threatening voice. "Mario, you'd better chill out. I mean it, if not, I won't bring you out of the game for another visit." He stopped, only just to say, "Sorry. Just-a laughing at how slow-a everyone else is!" "You're not that fast either." "I beat them. Didn't I?" "Still. Be a good sport." "No one's-a faster than me. Not-a even Sonic the Hedgehog!" That made me snap. I literally heard the opening sound that's used in old Westerns. I said ever so sweetly, "Please Mario. Take back that comment. You know I'm a HUGE Sonic fan." "No." "Mario, I'm saying this as nicely as I can." "No." "Mario-" "NO!" "Can you prove it?" "Yep." "How'll we settle this?" "A race. My crew versus Sonic and his." "Just the main characters?" "Yes." "Alright then." We shook hands, sealing the challenge. I felt very happy with myself. Only there was one little problem I just thought about. I started panicking about that thought. WHERE WAS SONIC?!
