Emma's POV
Ring, ring, ring.
The school bell rang. I hurried and made my way to my classroom, finding my seat in the third row. Oddly, it was surrounded by four empty seats.
Mhm, I thought to myself.
At school, I'm quiet. I do my work, and I don't keep friends. There are mostly guys in my class, more than girls. The girls act as if they're nice and better than everyone. There's a group of alpha males in my class, the "Busshead Crew," which I try my best to ignore — and the others are just nerds.
"Good morning, class," our form room teacher, Mr. Morrison, said.
"Good morning, Mr. Morrison," we replied in chorus.
"This is your fr—" he began, but was cut off by the entrance of four wonderful specimens of God's creation.
"You guys must be our four new students," Mr. Morrison said.
"Yes," they answered together.
"Please, have a seat," Mr. Morrison said.
They filled up the four empty seats surrounding me."Hi, I'm Ethan," the one beside me said with a smile on his face.
"I'm Emma," I said with a smirk.
Damn! He's cute, I thought to myself, starting to daydream — until my thoughts were interrupted by Mr. Morrison.
"As I was saying, class," Mr. Morrison continued, "this is your first day of senior year. Please make it a good one." He made his way to the door but then stopped. "Oh, and class, today is your first day, and we have new students, so take the day to socialize and get to know each other," he added before walking out.
As soon as he left, everyone started doing their own thing.
I took out my sketchpad and drawing pencil and started to draw a girl with two guns at her sides. I was almost finished when Ethan and the three other guys walked over to my desk."Hello again," Ethan said.
"Hello again," I replied.
"Wow! You're a cool artist," one of the guys said.
I smiled and closed my sketchpad.
"Oh, sorry," Ethan said quickly. "This is James," he said, pointing to a tall, muscular guy with blue, sparkly eyes.
"This is Stone," he said, pointing to a short, muscular guy with dark brown eyes.
"And this is Jehu," he added, pointing to a medium-height guy with green eyes."Hello," I said in a shy, friendly voice.
"Hello," they all said in chorus.
Ethan's POV
Emma seemed like a nice and friendly girl.
She had long black hair tied up in a messy bun. She was short and neat, wearing her black hoodie, skinny jeans, and Converse. She was full of curves, and she had red eyes — just like mine.We stood and spoke with Emma until our conversation was rudely interrupted by a girl in the class.
"Hello, I'm Anna," she said.
Just as she spoke, Emma walked away.
