The bell rung. Students rang out the door, in a rush to get out of there.

Asami, Bolin, and Mako took their time. They gathered up their stuff, saying bye to the teacher. The trio walked out of the room, heading to their lockers. Asami adjusted her bag strap. She glanced over at Bolin and Mako.

"So. You guys wanna come over??".

"Sure", Mako said, smiling. "Got nothing better to do".

Asami smiled. "Good. I don't have anything to do either. Plus".

The three walked up to their lockers.

"You guys would miss me too much".

Mako snickered.

"Cocky".

Asami shrugged, smirking. "Maybe a little".

Asami opened her locker. She neatly put her books away, grabbing the books she needed for homework that night. The conversation from a earlier came to mind. She couldn't help but think. What if it did happen??. What if they met someone that needed them??. Needed her??. Maybe. Just maybe this person -hopefully a girl- would need her and Asami will be the hero to save the day. To save her.

Maybe she could be someone's hero.

"Earth to Asami. Come in Asami. Do you copy??".

Asami blinked. "Huh??".

She turned her head to see Mako and Bolin looking at her. The boys had worried looks on their faces.

"Are you okay??", Bolin asked. "You blanked out there for a minute".

Asami smiled. "Yeah. I just.....".

She shut her locker. The boys did the same, their backpack on them. The three walked down the hall and out of the school.

The fresh air was soothing to the teens. They walked away from the school and down the street.

"I was just thinking about our conversation earlier", Asami said.

Bolin and Mako looked at the raven haired teen. Bolin beamed. He looked at Mako.

"See", he said, grinning. "Told you we weren't the only ones thinking about th at conversation".

Asami raised an eyebrow.

"You guys were too??".

"Yeah", Bolin said. "Couldn't stop thinking about it".

Asami looked ahead. Her eyes went to the concrete as they walked.

"What if we really do meet someone that needs our help??", she asked. "What if it's serious??. Like, they get beaten at home or they have a uncle that rapes them or something insane like that??. Why do we even wish to meet someone that goes through that??".

Asami stopped walking. The guys did as well, turned to her. Asami threw her hands up.

"Why do wish something like that??. We wish to meet a person who goes through spirits knows what, just so we can be heroes??. That's screwed up".

Asami sighed. She looked at Mako.

"Are we cruel??. Are we monsters for wishing that??. Are we that screwed up and lonely and bored that we wish to meet a poor innocent girl that lives through hell and back every day....just so we can save her and be real heroes for once in our lives".

"Asami", Mako said.

He placed a hand on her shoulder.

"We're not screwed up or terrible people. Yes, I agree that wish is a little messed up to even be thinking about it. But you're looking at it the wrong way".

Asami looked at him, questioningly.

"We stuck up for people who get bullied in school all the time, right??".

Asami and Bolin looked at eachother. They looked at Mako and nodded. Mako took his hand off Asami's shoulder and put his hands in his pockets. Bolin smiled.

"Yeah", he said. "Think about it guys. We're wishing to meet someone who needs us so we can stand up for them too. We're wishing to meet someone that is going through something that no one should have to, so we can put a stop to it. So we can save someone and put a stop to one of the many messed up things going on in this world. We're wishing to make this world and life ,better for someone who needs someone to do just that. Who needs a savior. Or three saviors for that matter".

Asami knew he made perfect sense. She smiled.

"Thanks. You two always know what to say".

They continued on their way. Asami smiled at the guys.

"But still", she said. "If it really does happen one day....... what will we do??. We're talking about being brave and saving someone's life someday and being the hero".

Asami shrugged. "What if we don't know what to do??. Imagine seeing a bruise or cut on someone's arm or face and we don't say anything to them about it and we just......... chicken out or don't know what to do??. What if we're just all talk and then panic when it comes down to it. What if we're not up to the challenge if someone truly does need us??".

"Then we'll know what to do", Bolin said simply.

The green eyed teen smiled.

"Don't sweat it guys. It hasn't happened and maybe never will. If in the near or far future someone does need us and we find out this big secret of their terrible life or family or past or whatever is wrong, we'll be okay. We have eachother so we'd figure it out. That's why we're a team. We'd put our awesomely brilliant minds together and figure a way to solve the problem. We always do".

The three looked at eachother. Asami hugged the guys, who returned the gesture. She was lucky to have such a amazing friends. They were always there for her and she was there for them. Plus, they had a point. If they did ever meet someone in the future that was in need of rescuing, they'd work it out. They were a team. Best friends.

Breaking the hug, they continued on their way.

"Who knows", Bolin said, grinning. "Our new friend is probably coming soon. I can feel it".

Asami giggled. "Me too", she said. "I just have a strange feeling that our new group member will be here soon".

If only they knew.

"That was a really great speech, Bolin".
