MY MOM!" I said with tears. I love Shannon, I really do, but I need to get to know my mother. Shannon was crying. "Shannon, I love you a lot, I really do. but I've lived with you for most of my life, and I really need to get to know my mother. I'll visit you." I said with an awkward half-smile. she looked at me with tears in her eyes and smiled. "I would love if you visited me." she said hugging me. "Not the ruin the moment, but where's Willa?" she said with concern. I explained everything and she sobbed and sobbed. "Willa was such a great little girl. she was sweet and kind. we'll hold a funeral for her in a few months or less, if that's okay with you guys. and who's the tag along?" and she whispered tag along. "Shannon, this is Mac. he helped us escape. Mac, this is my legal guardian Shannon." they shook hands and my mother cringed when I said legal guardian. she cleared her throat hinting at the legal guardian and corrected to "old legal guardian" instead. wow, mature mom. We decided to have the funeral the next day, so we stayed at Shannon's house. we got some fresh clothes, showers, and the police brought Willa's body's and arrested lily ruth's family.
-funeral-
"Thank you all for coming to our beloved Willa's funeral. She was a wonderful, sweet, little trooper with a golden heart. She had a strong mind and a strong soul." Shannon was continuing on and on about how great of a kid she was and what happened and I made a speech and all. lots of people who we barely knew, like doctors, teachers, friends, etc etc were making obvious un-prepared speeches about how they knew Willa so well and what a great kid she was. the funeral and service were really long and sad. at the end of the memorial, they gave free small teddy bears with willas name printed on the tummy in red. it was cute.
-3 weeks later-
Mac is basically my brother now because he doesn't have any other known family, me mom and Mac live in an apartment close to Shannon's, Mac works as a waiter in a high paying Japanese restaurant, mom is a hair stylist and does waxing at a salon, and they both make pretty good money. Mac got me a maroon diary with fleeky Custom engraved on it because of an inside joke from a few weeks ago. I thanked him and hugged him a lot.Diary Entry 1
today I went walking to the local baseball park, on a trail and met this really cute boy. he was the boy that was in my "dream" at the lab. I didn't think much of it, till I got home and looked at his contact picture we took. it was of me and him, he smiling and me looking confused. it was cute. we have been texting for a while now, and strange enough, his name is Carl, but he goes by Braylon. he doesn't have a girlfriend, either. yet. not yet. he's really sweet and kind, and his little sister went missing a few years ago at the age of 5. she was in the backyard one minute and she disappeared the next. She didn't have any hair, and he showed me a picture. she kinda looked like the girl who mentioned him, but I'm not going to stress myself out over some little sister-brother relationship that may be a bad thing. anyway, we have a small "date" tonight at Mac's restaurant, because mom doesn't knew yet. yet. Mac made us a reservation and is going to serve us. it's going to be really fun.-time: 7:00pm-
I'm getting dressed really fast. Braylon is supposed to be here at 7:30 and I just got out the shower. I'm wearing a dark navy dress, with navy heels, white purse with a navy bow, a bun with a pearl "crown" and some light makeup. I also wore my gold anchor case for my phone just in "case" (no pun intended literally) he likes boats. I was walking down the stairs when the door bell rang. I shouted "I got it!" and slipped off my heels, and bolted for the door. I opened it and there he was. he looked so nice. "you look amazing, rayne." he said with a smile on his face. "me? look at you!" I said moving my hand up and down in the air pointing to his outfit. he laughed, and I grabbed my shoes off the couch. "leaving mom!" I shouted trying to get out the door before questions. luckily, it worked. Braylon is 15, and I turned 14. he got an early license for some reason, and we headed to the restaurant. surprisingly, he was a great driver. at a stop light, he turned to me, and said "Rayne, I'm really glad you are here with me." and put his arm around me. I leaned more by his seat and he just smiled the whole way. when we got there, his phone rang. he looked at the screen, and his face was full of panic. "excuse me for a minute, I've got to take this, it's my mother. if you want you can go inside and get us seated. I'm sorry." his face was apologetic and I nodded. I walked in. i stepped back a few steps and ducked behind the bushes at the entrance. I could hear his call. should I eavesdrop? yes!
Babe, please I have to take my grandma out, it's her birthday.
............
No, No! It's not anywhere special, just Some lame restaurant. i promise I'll come over when I get the chance. I can't abandon her.
...........
okay, yeah um you too bye.he ended the call and started walking to the entrance I couldn't get in without him seeing me. I stayed in the bushes and went in from the other side entrance. it was by the ladies restroom, so I was in the clear. I walked over to him. "Apologies. I couldn't get the table, I had to use the little girls room." I laughed and he used the facial expression that showed it was okay. We got our table and ordered our food. "I'll take the medium mixed up sushi plate." is what I ordered. he ordered some really hard to pronounce dish that I didn't even understand. after we got our food and we were talking, that's where the date started to go bad.
