*I added a picture of how I envision Eden, isn't she gorgeous?! I'm still trying to find one of Ashlynn though. I'd love it if y'all could help me out :D*

When I said I thought this school would be big, boy was I wrong. It's smaller than my old school in Rochester!

"Oh no, Eden. Looks like we'll have to do some soulmate searching later in the city. Cause you don't have very good option here!" Ashlynn said jokingly.

"Oh God, Ash. What am I going to do? I can't disappoint my parents anymore than they already are."

"Don't worry about it. I have a feeling you'll find him soon. Now let's go. I won't see you until lunch so don't be too lost without me."

I watched her walk away. Great. Not only will my parents be upset, but now I have to deal with it without my best friend.

I walked into the tiny school and looked around. Okay..It wasn't as bad as I thought. It was actually kind of cozy. This school didn't even have those awful brick walls. I looked down at my schedule. First hour: Literature.

I found my class just in time before the bell rang. The teacher introduced herself as Mrs. Knight and began class. I looked down at my necklace, still clear. Mrs.Knight was a good teacher. She looked young, but old enough to have a couple kids. So enough that class was done.

Second hour: Music Appreciation.

Wait, what?

I don't even play an instrument.

I walked into the class and saw that everyone was playing on their cell phones while listening to music through speakers all around the room. What kind of class was this?

Yes, I'm here to find my soulmate but I do need an education too.

I looked at the teacher. He was a young man with a beard and super long hair tied up into a bun. He was very muscular and was wearing jeans. Jeans?! Jeans are not professional at all. Definitely not cool. I haven't even heard the man talk and I already despised him. I am so not taking any of his classes.

Just as I was about to leave to go and change my schedule, I felt this warm feeling on my chest.

My necklace! It was turning blue! That means my soulmate must be near.

I walked back into class. I guess I'll have to tolerate this awful class in order to find my soulmate.

The teacher introduced himself as Mr.Willow. He began to explain the course.

"This class will introduce you to all genres of music and teach you to appreciate them all. Hence, the name of this class being Music Appreciation. Each month we will study a specific genre and you will write an essay on the genre at the end of the month. This process will be repeated until Finals. Your final essay will be on your favorite genre."

As he was explaining, I couldn't help but notice he was really young. He looked to be about 20 years old. I also noticed he wasn't wearing a necklace. The government allows people to choose whether or not they have a necklace. Parents decide when you're born, and you may decide again for yourself at the age of 15. It's not very common for people to not have a necklace, but there are a few that don't. Ashlynn and Rena both don't have one. I sometimes envy them because of it. Both of them seem so happy and carefree. They have the ability to focus on doing what they want for themselves and not searching for their soulmate.

"Excuse me, Miss?"

"Miss? Hello?"

I realize someone was talking to me. Crap.

I looked up; it was Mr. Willow.

"Yes, sir?"

"What's your name, young lady?"

"Young lady? You're barely older than us!" Someone had shouted from the back of the room as the class erupted with laughter. Mr. Willow ignored it, though.

"What is your name?" He asked again.

"It's Eden. Eden Matthews."

"Well, Eden, would you please tell the class what your favorite genre of music is?"

Oh my gosh, what kind of question is that? "I don't really have a favorite."

"No? And why is that?"

You can stop talking to me anytime now....

"Well, I grew up listening to all kinds of music. So, it really just depends on what mood I'm in."

"Interesting. All right class, the first genre we are going to study is classical."

There were a few groans from the class but everyone was still paying attention. I looked down at my necklace and it was still glowing blue. I looked around the room to see if anyone else's was glowing as well, but most guys had their's hidden. Damn, why does this have to be so difficult?
