(Annabeth’s P.O.V.)

            Hoot! Hoot! Hoot! SLAP!

I groaned. It was 6:30 am on a Saturday. I should be allowed to sleep in.

I sat bolt upright. Saturday! Today was the big surprise that Percy had promised me! He was going to call soon to tell me what to wear.

Fly by night, awa-ay from here (duh duh); Change my life aga-ain!’

It was Percy! I picked up.

“Hi, sweetheart. How are you this fine morning?” Percy asked immediately.

            “Perfect. Et tu?” I replied.

“Quite well. As you recall, I called to tell you what to wear.”

“Well, duh. What should I wear?”

“If you don’t mind coming downstairs in your underwear, I have an outfit here for you, as I’m sitting outside in Paul’s Prius.”

“If you don’t mind coming up here, there’s a house key under the front door mat.”

“Alright. See you in 20 seconds, Wise Girl.”

I walked into the bathroom to brush my teeth.

“Knock, knock,” Percy said, walking into my room. I yelped because I was completely naked. He looked me up and down, nodded approvingly, and closed his eyes. I hurriedly pulled on a bra and underwear.

“You can look,” I told him.

He opened his eyes. “I have your outfit.” He held up a pair of cutoff denim shorts, which I knew would barely hit my thighs, and a cropped strapless top with an American flag design. He looked a lot better. He just wore a pair of denim shorts. The lack of shirt showed off his toned and tanned chest and six-pack perfectly.

I sighed and took the outfit, quickly changing into it. He whistled, definitely liking how I looked.

“Let’s go,” Percy said, wrapping his arm around my waist and leading me out the door.

“Alright. See you in 20 seconds, Wise Girl,” I said, flipping my sea-foam green cell phone shut. It was a present from Dad (Poseidon), with a disguised signal that made monsters think that it was just radio waves, not a cell phone communication.

I turned off the ignition and walked out of the car to the front of the house, bending down to find the key under the door mat. I opened the door and made my way upstairs.

“Knock, knock,” I said, walking into Annabeth’s room. She turned, startled, her, ahem, chest area bouncing wildly. I looked her up and down, liking what I saw. I nodded approvingly, just to let her know my thoughts, and shut my eyes.

“You can look,” Annabeth told me. I opened my eyes.

“I have your outfit.”

I held up the denim cutoffs and the strapless top, knowing from the look she gave me that it wasn’t her favorite outfit. I didn’t really like what I was wearing, either. Replace my denim shorts with boxers, and that’s usually what I wore on a lazy Saturday at home.
