(Only Annabeth's P.O.V.)

I woke up, yawned, and stretched. Percy was just waking up as I slipped out of bed. I looked at the calendar. August 29. The day of the bridal shower!

I ran outside towards the Aphrodite cabin. "Piper? Piper!" Piper came outside, holding a silver chiton. And a pair of silver stilettos. I hate stilettos!

"Are you crazy, Piper??? I'm not wearing those!"

"It's one day. It won't kill you." I knew that was a metaphor, but you had to be careful with metaphors.

I sighed and walked back to the Poseidon cabin to change. When I came back out, there was a sedan chair waiting for me. I sat down, and it magically started moving to the dining pavilion.

Once there, I saw everyone on my guest list waiting for me. My mom saw me and came running. "Annabeth!" she exclaimed. Everyone rushed towards me, extending congratulations and offering gifts. Piper pushed them all back.

"Give her some space! She isn't Kate Middleton! It's not like she's marrying Prince William or something!" They all backed up and pulled me to a seat at the head of a table. Gifts were passed up to the front of the table. I opened Athena's first. "Mom! Thank you!" Inside was a untensil set- dinner forks, salad forks, dessert forks, tablespoons, teaspoons, dinner knives, butter knives, serving spoons, the works. And it was all solid silver!

I got a whole lot more gifts, and the rest of the shower went by in a whirl. I finally wandered back to the Poseidon cabin, changed into my nightgown, and went back to bed. I was tired!
