(Annabeth’s P.O.V.)

We pulled into the parking lot and jumped out. Percy dove back in, quickly changing into the green swimsuit that matched his eyes. We ran onto the beach, splashing into the surf. I immediately saw Percy perk up, because the sea always gave him power.

“Hey!” I yelled, for the second time that day. I splashed him back, and he had obviously willed himself to get wet, because he got soaked, too.

Percy splashed me again, but instead of splashing him back, I waded over and kissed him, full-force. He looked surprised, but he put one hand on the back of my head and the other on my lower back, pulling me closer. I forced his lips open, sliding my tongue into his mouth as Percy slid his tongue into my mouth.

He picked me up, newly-wed style, still kissing me, and carried me onto the beach.

Percy set me down on the beach. I stood up, and he ran back to the car, leaving me alone in the sand.

He came running back, clutching something. I realized what it was when he got down on one knee and opened it, revealing a diamond ring.

“Annabeth, I have loved you since I was first conscious enough to really see you, & I have kept loving you. Can that love live forever? Only if you will accept my hand in marriage. Annabeth, will you marry me?”

        “Of course!!”

Percy stood and put the ring on my finger. “I love you, Annabeth,” he said, and kissed me.

(Percy's P.O.V.)

We pulled into the parking lot and jumped out. I went back into the car and changed into my favorite green swimsuit. We ran to the beach, straight into the surf. I perked up and splashed Annabeth.

"Hey!" she yelled. She splashed me back, and I willed myself to get wet. I splashed her again, and she did something I didn't expect. She walked over and kissed me, full-force. I put one hand on the back of her head and one on her lower back, pulling her closer. I felt her tongue slide into my mouth, and I slid mine into hers.

I scooped her up, still kissing her. I carried her onto the beach and set her down. She stood as I ran back to the car.

I grabbed the velvet box and ran back, getting down on one knee.

“Annabeth, I have loved you since I was first conscious enough to really see you, & I have kept loving you. Can that love live forever? Only if you will accept my hand in marriage. Annabeth, will you marry me?”

She gave me a wide smile. "Of course!!"

I stood and put the ring on her finger. "I love you, Annabeth," I said, and kissed her.
