After a long week of dance and stressful rehearsals, the competition arrived. Nothing out of the ordinary occurred. Mackenzie iced her hip at home, though it didn't seem to help. I knew in my heart that she was hiding the actual pain from my family and everyone at dance, but I have watched her all my life and I can tell when she's in pain.

And Mackenzie is really in pain.

The group dance went well, I bobbled a few turns but everyone else seemed to do exceedingly great. Even Mackenzie which was great since she was the youngest and sometimes known as the weak leg. But I know that she was probably working through the pain.

We only had one dance on Saturday and all the other solos were Sunday.

That night the whole team went out for a celebratory dinner and when it seemed like we were having a really good night, Mackenzie had to ruin it all. Which was something she would do, she's such a cry baby.

It started with a whisper into my mom's ear. Then by the anger flashing across my mothers face, I could tell something was wrong. Mom proceeded to grab Mackenzie's arm and pull her out of the restaurant. They stood outside screaming at eachother for at least twenty minutes. I don't even know if they were trying to be discreet.

Anyway, everyone heard. Everyone. So I went back to Christi and Chloe's hotel room rather than my own. Mom and Mackenzie disappeared somewhere after dinner.

I still don't know what they were talking about.
