It’s pretty obvious that Fleck isn’t going to find anything before you do. Besides, why should you hold him back? Sure he won’t be the best person to find her, but at least it’s another person searching for her. There has to be another way to help her. She’s out there, you can feel it. Someone is going to find her and it will all be okay, right?
The room is dark, you are already half asleep. You glance over at the clock on the wall. It reads half past twelve. Past midnight already? You punch the button on the remote to turn off the TV, and parade into the bedroom. You trip over a curd on the floor and fumble into bed. The lights are out the TV is off, your mind runs blank, you quickly drift to sleep.
The next morning you are up bright and early. You get into your car and drive to the park where you go for a nice run. When you return to you house you notice that you have a message left on you phone. You pick it up off of the countertop and go to your voicemail.
“You have one unheard message. To hear this message, press one, to delete this message, press seven. To save this message press-“
You press one. “Good afternoon. It has been brought to my attention, by me, that you are looking for my girl, Abby.” You gasp. “Well, I am here to promise you, she is fine. If you would like her back, meet me. If you are too chicken to meet me, she will die. Meet me tonight at 4630 Driggendy Drive, the old shoe warehouse, at exactly 1:10 a.m. No later. That is all.”
You eyes widen as a tear streaks down your face. You don’t know what to do, can you save her?
If you go to the warehouse to save her, drive to page Five.
If you stay home, Go to page Nine.
