Maria's Pov

It's finna' be 2:00p.m. so my baby getting out the school, I decided to get here a little early, Tremaine got a game today but it's outta' state so he won't be back till tomorrow morning, he left this morning around 8:00a.m., he's in North Carolina but I forgot which college they playin'.

Mia just turned eight yesterday but the real celebration is this Saturday at mom's house, finally Tremaine doesn't have a game so we're all gonna' be there.

I was on the phone talking some sense into Khaleel, it's not my business like dat' but I tied of him playing wit' my best friend feelings.

Maria: "Khaleel all I'm saying is don't be stupid and loose Keira, do you love her or not?"

Khaleel: "Yeah I love her, I'm just not ready to settle down yet."

Maria: "Ok I get that, ain't nobody tryna' rush you or nothing but keep it one hundred, do you still have side hoes?"

Khaleel: "No I'm done wit' that, I been done wit' that since December, look I love Keira, I'll give up my life for her and Katelyn it's just that I'm not ready to settle down, doesn't mean I'mma' cheat on her again and risk loosing her forever, my heart can't take that."

Maria: "Well good, just don't be playing wit' her feelings nigga'."

Khaleel: "Aight' chill, can I go now?"

Maria saw a crowd of little kids coming outside out of the elementary school

Maria: "Yeah bye."

Maria hung up

Mia walked to the range rover getting in the passenger seat putting on her seat belt wiping tears from her eyes looking scared for her life but Maria couldn't help but wonder what took her so long to come out

Maria was on the verge of crying, she could tell her daughter was hurting in pain and was upset but she had to hold her tears back to keep from crying, breaking down in front of your kids isn't the best idea

"Mia what's wrong?" Maria said.

Silence

"Mia you know you can tell me." Maria said.

"Don't tell daddy mommy." Mia said.

"Don't tell daddy what, what's
wrong?" Maria said.

Mia looked down ,scared to tell her mom cause' she doesn't want her to go back and tell dad

"We'll talk about this when we get home." Maria said pulling out the parking lot and down the road driving towards they're house.

"Mia baby please tell me you're scaring me, what happened?" Maria asked with her daughter sitting on her lap with her head rested on her breast.

"He said if I tell I would go to jail for telling a lie and daddy would go to jail for hurting him and I'll never see him again." Mia said on the verge of crying.

"What did he do to you?" Maria asked softly but on the inside she was ready for her thugette side to come out.
