Aaliyah's POV~2 weeks later

I woke up to an extremely bright light and someone besides me holding my hand and I'm pretty sure that it's Nadir.

"Nadir will you do me a favor and go turn off the lights" I asked putting my hand over my eyes

"Mom you're awake." Then he ran over to the doorway and yelled "Sinbad, Yamuraiha, Ja'far she's awake"

"Wait how long was I asleep" and all my memories came back like being stabbed in the stomach my hand immediately went over to my stomach and knew the baby had died in the attack.

And at that moment everything went blank.

When you're an assassin you don't have a need for human emotions and the main part of me being an assassin was because I didn't care about people until I met Sinbad for the first time.

"Aaliyah you got stabbed and unfortunately we couldn't save the baby we had to take her out while you were asleep." As she said that I got up and realized that I was wearing my old clothes so somebody must've changed me out of my bloody clothes even though I have about 15 pairs of both I knew I'd never wear those clothes again

"Do the Kou empire allies still need to be escorted?" I asked

"Yeah Hakuryuu is leaving tomorrow to get them. Then when they get here we'll leave." Sinbad replied

"I'll go with him I have some old friends that live there" I said as I left

Nadir's POV~dinner

I saw Sin looking at where she sat.

"She won't eat for awhile" I spoke up

"Why?" He asked

"I should probably tell you about Daisy" I explained "over the 11 years I've been alive Aaliyah has never truly been happy just faking being happy but there is only once or twice I remember her truly devastated. The first time was too long ago for me to remember but she has told me once about it. She and this guy were dating for about a year when he had to return back to his country and as soon as he got back he was murdered. Well at the time it was thought to be a fire but the fire was caused by someone and ultimately it was ruled a murder. But I can't remember either of their names. And then there is the one that I remember, for a while when I was really little there were bandits were I was growing up and they took one of my magical tools when I was three I can't remember what it was but my mom made it and she got so pissed off that she took my grandpas old sword which now is mine but she took it and hunted down the bandits and when she found them they were trying to rob a carriage and she stopped it but she went a little over board and destroyed two wheels on it so she took them to the shop in our old village and it was going to take a while so she and that guy started dating and they dated for two years. He had to go away a lot because he was an important person from the Kou empire but after two years she got pregnant and they were both happy and then they were going to move to the Kou empire together and he was going to propose to her and he asked me about it and I didn't really care so I said whatever then she had a miscarriage at eight months so they buried her and named her Daisy but she was so depressed that they broke up because she couldn't handle being reminded of her. So he left like nothing ever happened while she didn't do anything for a year and she still has never gotten over Daisy I don't blame her. Though she lost her daughter as I've lost two sisters now." I finished as I wiped a tear that was threatening to escape and left the room. Ignoring the whispers from behind me.

Aaliyah's POV~2 weeks later~ Kou empire

I stepped on solid ground for the first time in two weeks.

"Thank god I'm not on that friggin boat anymore" I said stretching my arms over my head.

"Aaliyah thanks for coming with me to escort them but, why did you come with me?" He questioned

"Hakuryuu" I said and he stopped walking towards the palace "Your brother Hakuyuu"

"Wait you knew Hakuyuu?" He asked skeptically

"Yes now let me finish. When he died he and I were dating and we had been for a year. Just good memories" I said walking towards the palace again.

"Oh"

As we got to the palace he had maids flocking him from every angle. I held back a laugh and said "what the hell are you doing?"

"Just wait a second we'll go in, in a second" he replied trying to shake them off

When he finally got all of them off of him it had been almost 5 minutes.

"Okay follow me" he said leading me to an enormous building. It was definitely a Palace.

He opened the giant door and when it opened we were both met by the five of the metal users of the Kou empire.

"Emperor Kouen we're here to escort you all to Sindria for the battle then track down the culprits" Hakuryuu said kneeling.

I just stood there awkwardly staring at him then the five other metal vessel users. I just looked back and fourth between the five of them and the two of us until Hakuryuu stood up.

My attention was drawn away when the person I least wanted to talk to or see spoke up, "Holy shit, Aaliyah?" Kouen asked if it was me

"That is what people call me" I retorted

Everyone looked very confused at his action.

"What're you doing here? Another assassination?" He replied with a smirk

"Nah, I haven't killed people in years" I said making him lose his smirk "I'm here on behalf of Sindria's eight generals. I used to be a part of the nine generals then I decided to leave."

"The ship is restocking its supply for the trip back to Sindria it should be done within the hour" Hakuryuu said taking away the confusion.

"Yeah well I'll be on the ship waiting so you all have just over an hour to get ready" I said walking away.
