Sinbad's POV~1 week later
I couldn't help but look at where she once sat, at the table for conferences she had pretty much been avoiding everyone since she got back.
Nadir seemed like he was okay and fine he was even attending the war meeting this time. He seemed like he was all happy-go-lucky, but for some reason everyone seemed to see through it. And Aaliyah, she just reverted to what Ja'far called her old self and by that I think he meant how she returns to the assassin she used to be and before the rest of us had met her Ja'far said she was a terrifying person. And I have only seen that side of her once before, and I understand her old reputation.
I wouldn't say that I am scared of her but still I definitely would not want to face her as an enemy, she takes almost all of her fights as a joke but when somebody does something she doesn't want or is bad for her family/friends she will tear them limb from limb.
I didn't really hear anybody talking to me until I heard Nadir laughing "Oh god Aaliyah did the same thing awhile back"
"Except Aaliyah was thinking about your eyes" I said
"Well Aaliyah needs to stop thinking about my eyes" he said
"Aaliyah is your mother, it's probably natural for her to care" I said
"I cannot even count the amount of times she has thrown knives at me. Not sure, but I don't think that that's a normal family relationship" he said holding back laughter.
"Yeah but by your age Aaliyah had been one of the most respected assassins in the world and killed thousands of people, not even mentioning all the people she had to kill while she fled the Kings personal assassins, killed about half of her subordinates because they felt she betrayed them." Ja'far said at the other side of the table.
"You know I don't think I've ever heard Aaliyah's full past. I've heard bits and prices but never the full story" I said
"That's because I really don't like to talk about it" Aaliyah entered the room
"So you've come out of hiding" Nadir said
"Wasn't hiding" she replied sitting down
"If you weren't hiding then what were you doing?" Nadir asked
"I was gathering information" she said
"So what did you get" I asked
She exhaled before answering "Abso-fucking-lutely nothing I went all over that god damn country and not a thing I could only track down a general area not even a city I had it narrowed down to about a 73 mile radius"
