Chapter 7 - Breaking The News

Ramin knows that Sierra is coming, so it's just a matter of waiting.

"I hope she's okay" he thinks to himself.

Mandy and the boys are out shopping and won't be back for a couple of hours.

Suddenly his phone rings and it's his manager, Rachael.

"Hi Ramin. I've got big news - A.L.W wants you to be the Phantom in the 30th years celebratory production of POTO!", she tells him.

"Wow!" he replies. "Again? Tell him I'll do it. E-mail me the details."

As soon as he puts the phone down, the door bell rings, so he gets up and answers it.

"Hi Ramin," says Sierra.

"Come on in!" replies Ramin. "Mandy and the kids are out shopping and won't be back for a couple of hours or so, so you can stay as long as you want."

"Thanks, " says Sierra as she takes a seat, beckoning Ramin to sit next to her as she feels she needs his support.

"What did you want to tell me?" he asks her.

"Well, I - I - I'm expecting a baby" she says.

"That's wonderful! What's to be so down about?" Ramin asks.

"Well, I'm now gonna be a single mom because he walked out on me and I haven't seen him since. It's good I haven't though. I hate him." she replies.

"Who?" Ramin asks.

"You don't want to know."

"Oh, I'm so sorry Sierra. But you'll make a great mom." he reassures her.

"Thanks. But the other thing is I just got asked to do the 30th POTO thing in London which is next October. My baby's due this September" she explains.

"Did you agree?" Ramin asks her.

"Yes, what was I thinking?" Sierra replies.

"I just got asked to play the Phantom in that you know" he tells her.

"Really?"

"Yep."

"Together again!" Sierra exclaims. "What am I gonna do though?"

"Don't worry" he says, taking her in his arms, clearly seeing that she's distressed.

"I'll always be here for you."
