Today is you and Niall’s one-year anniversary! It’s amazing to think that just a year and a few months before you were sitting in the stands watching your favorite soccer team and Niall came out of no where and split his soda all over you. You were pretty mad, but one look at his baby blue eyes and his numerous apologies and you couldn’t help but forgive him.
You were sitting on the couch watching TV when a knock on the door surprised you. You weren’t expecting anyone so you were a bit confused. You opened the door to see Zayn standing on your doorstep.
“Uhh. Hi Zayn?”
“Hey (Y/N)! I was given strict orders to bring this to you.” He said as he handed you a white envelope.
“Umm. Okay. Thanks?”
“No problem. See ya later!”
“Bye!” You called out as you walked back inside and closed the door. You opened the envelope and began to read the note inside.
Hi babe! I have a little surprise for you! Wear something comfy and meet me at the recording studio around half past seven! I love you!! xx
You folded up the note and looked at the clock. You only had forty-five minutes to get changed and head to the studio. You ran to your closet with a smile on your face. You were so excited to see what Niall had in store for your night.
You got ready in record time and pulled up to the studio right on schedule. You walked inside the building, but had absolutely no idea where to go. You saw the lady at the front desk and decided to ask her.
“Umm. Excuse me, miss?”
“Oh you must be (Y/N)! Oh my! You’re beautiful! He’s in studio 9! It’s right down this hall on the right hand side!”
“Uhh. Thanks!”
“You’re welcome! Have fun!” She said giving you a small wave before returning to the laptop in front of her.
You proceeded down the hall counting each door until you got to the ninth one, which was indeed on the right hand side. You opened the door and were immediately hit by the sound of your amazing boyfriend’s voice. You sat down in front of the table with a bunch of buttons that you assumed were used for recording and watched Niall through the glass window that separated you two. He continued singing and you could tell how into it he was because he hadn’t once opened his eyes. Suddenly he did just that and he saw you. The biggest smile you had ever seen appeared on his face and he immediately put down his guitar before racing to the door. The minute he got to you he wrapped you in his arms and squeezed as tight as he could.
“I missed you babe!” He said placing a hard kiss on your temple.
“I missed you too, Niall. Even though I saw you this morning.”
“I just hate being apart from you, that’s all. Happy anniversary!” He said pulling a small box out of his pocket.
“Niall! I thought we agreed no gifts! Now I look like a terrible girlfriend!”
“You, my dear, could never be a terrible girlfriend.” He said placing a kiss on the tip of your nose. “Now open it!!”
“Alright! Calm down.” You said with a chuckle as you grasped the lid of the box and pulled it open to reveal a pair of beautiful diamond earrings.
“Niall! They’re beautiful!”
“You like them?”
“Like them? I love them! Thank you so much!” You said wrapping your arms around his neck and giving him a kiss. You felt him smile against your lips, which caused you to mirror his actions. You pulled away and grabbed his hand, pulling him toward the couch behind you. “How was you day?” You asked him as you sat down and patted your lap for him to lay his head there. He did so and you gently ran your finger through his hair as he began to answer your question.
“I’m really sorry by the way that I couldn’t spend all day with you. They’ve been killing us about getting this album finished.”
“It’s okay. I understand. I knew the prices I would have to pay with dating a boy band member.” You said sticking your tongue out at him. He giggled and reached up to rub his thumb across you cheek.
“How did you ever become mine? I’m the luckiest man in the world.”
“Just think that if you hadn’t spilled your soda on me that day we would’ve never met.”
“Even if I hadn’t met you that day I would’ve found you, no matter what. It’s always been you, (Y/N)”
You were completely speechless. You couldn’t come up with any words to reply back so you simply leaned down and kissed him as hard as you could. He readjusted so that you were lying underneath him and he kissed you back.
“I love you so much.”
“I love you too, Niall.” You said connecting your lips back to his.
