Narrator's POV:
Ever since their performance, Chanel and Prodigy have had crazy, mixed emotions. They would talk it out, but of course they couldn't because of two things. One, it was a part of their bet. And two, no matter where they went, one of their friends would be there to make sure that they would not communicate one way or another.
See, Prodigy wanted to talk to Chanel, simply because she's a great dancer and has a wonderful voice. Plus, regardless of her attitude, she was very beautiful, and that attracted him. But, there was something else that attracted him even more. It was Chanel's attitude.
See, the Chanel he's always seen has seemed like the world's perfect angel. As if there was nothing that she could do wrong. He always thought that that was how she would always act, regardless of who the person was. He believed that it was in her nature.
Prodigy wanted something different, though. All of the girls he's been with, or at least tried to be with, took him for granted, mainly becuase he was a well known artist. And since he seems sweet and innocent for the cameras, he's always stuck with the quiet and shy girls that are most likely more scarred than he is. He wanted something different.
That something different, is Chanel.
It's been a while since their performance and he's noticed something different about the way she treats people. She treats them however she pleases. This form of treatement is normal to everyone in the school, except Prodigy. In fact, it almost seems too much for him to handle. But then again, Prodigy was the one who created The Fast Lane, right?
Now, he's starting to actually like this Chanel that he's seeing around school. However, their bet got into the middle of what could of been a happy ever after. And even if he wanted to tell her how he felt, he didn't want to be rejected, not even mentioning the fact that their friends have them on lock down for the rest of the year.
Yes, Prodigy really isn't what the media makes him out to be, but he's always been in charge of his relationships. He's starting to belive that Chanel is a little too much for him to handle. But, he never backs down from a challenge. However, he's having a real challenge to not speak to Chanel at all. But can she blame him?
Chanel knows about his bet with Mya, thanks to Rachel. Even though she doesn't know what Prodigy will get, it still hurts her feelings to know that people she knows are betting on her. The main person could of turned out to be her boyfriend.
However, the bet made her turn to her usual ways, and now she's back as the Chanel everyone knows and hates. Her few months of being nice were brought to an immediate hault. She was even suprised herself that she was actually kind for a while. She was more surprised that it took a boy to make her act, well, normal.
Her knowledge of the bet has made her challenge of not speaking to Prodigy a lot easier, yet harder at the same time. One moment she wants to cuss him out and scream and attack him, but she's happy that she won't be able to hear any of his excuses. That is, if he has any.
Well, thankfully, they all are now on Christmas Break. No more drama until next year, or so they thought. The Spanish club is going on a trip the week before Christmas Day, and Senior Rodgriuez has already assigned partners based on, mainly their attitude. Lucky for Chanel and Prodigy, they're each other's partners.
Oh, how their relationship is silent, but deadly...
