Prodigy's POV:
I really wish that I never made that bet with Chanel now. I did not know that she could sing that well, let alone sing at all! We were all completely surprised by it, including me. I mean, I couldn't even say anything after all of that!
I drove back home in silence after our bet in the boys' and I's favorite studio. I walked in worried where my parents were and forgot that they went to see Kevin Hart's latest movie and go out to eat. I looked at my phone and it was 7:13 pm. They left me some money, so I figured that I would go and order some pizza since I was a little hungry.
About 20 minutes later, the doorbell rang, singling that it was the Pizza Man, or so I thought. It was actually Rachel who was there with the pizza. Talk about an awkward moment.
"Oh, h-hey Rachel... I didn't know you worked for Pizza Hut?" I said while getting my money out to pay her.
"Y-yeah, I just started about a month ago, I guess.. And that'll be $13.65"
We exchanged the money and the pizza as I went to go set it on the counter. I walked back to say goodbye, but there was something that I was dying to know about.
"Hey, Rachel. Ever since I've been here, people have told me that Chanel is like some crazy girl, is that true?"
"Duh!" She said in a didn't-you-know attitude. "Don't you remember what happened with y'all in the cafeteria the other day when she stomped all over your food?!"
"I mean, yeah. But every time I see her or whenever we talk, she just always seem so.."
"Easy?" Rachel said while finishing my sentence.
"Yeah, that. It's like, I could say some stupid sh*t,, and she'll believe it. I bet if I told her right now that it was sunny outside, she would agree and think that it's just an eclipse or something since it's dark outside, knowing good and well that it's night time!" I said while laughing with Rachel at the end.
"You got a point there Prod, but just remember: Chanel won the bet; you didn't."
"Okay, and?"
"And, that means that you can's speak to her for the rest of the year, golden boy!"
Rachel turned around and headed back to her car and drove off. I was so wrapped up in Chanel's performance that I seriously forgot about what she wagered for the bet. Man, this is going to be hard!
Chanel's POV:
I'm still in shock about how bad I out-danced and sang Prodigy. And he had back up! How does a professional singer loose to some amateur high school student? Oh well, I'm not really complaining though.
Rachel had to go to work, and Jamie was busy helping her mom with somethings for Halloween, I think so I would be alone on this Friday night. I got home and decided to eat some cereal, since I wasn't that hungry. My dad was knocked out on the sofa, and I'm pretty sure my mom was asleep in her room, too. I took my food upstairs to my room and turned on the T.V.
I forgot that I had it on MTV from this morning and was going to change it until a picture caught my eye. It looked like Prodigy and the rest of his group, I think? I turned the volume up louder to hear what was going on.
So, the boy band that has millions of girls going crazy has decided to take a year off and go to a regular school to still feel like regular teens, their manager Keisha Gamble says. As many of teenagers know, high school involves relationships, including romantic ones. Apparently, the lead singer, Prodigy, has had a couple of these.
After the reporter was done talking, I saw multiple pictures pop up on the screen. All of them had Prodigy talking or touching some girl, all of whom go to our school. It didn't really effect me until I saw one where he and Mya looked a little too romantic. It looked as though she was getting ready to kiss him.
Will these "relationships" affect their singing career? And what about a so called "friend" that he might have interest for? Will this girl, Chanel, be able to get past these accusations and have a relationship with Mr. Prodigy? Don't go away, we'll be right back to MTV News.
How do they know all of this when I haven't even said one word to them?!
