"No, I don't care if it's raining. We're going, I need fresh air and time to process everything I'm going through and everything I'll go through when I get home." I sighed in frustration. "I'm quite sure being kidnapped is going to change my whole life, from this point on."
"I guess it couldn't hurt, it is just rain. I'll find an umbrella, be right back." Anthony trudged off to his room as I stared intently out the window. I need to get home, I need to see my family, I need things to go back to how they were.
"Here's a sweatshirt," Anthony stuck it out to me, "how much bad luck do you get for opening an umbrella inside?" He said, obviously joking.
"Don't!" I smiled and started putting on the ginormous hoodie.
He looked me over, "that looks like a dress on you, but it's cute."
"Thanks," I chided, sticking my tongue out playfully. He walked towards the door, then opened and gestured for me to walk out. It's reminiscent of when Chris told me to just run, now I'm here. Still patiently waiting to get myself home, and relieve all my loved ones of their suffering.
We walked out as he instantaneously shut the door and opened the blue umbrella. Ella ella under my umbrella, ella ella. We detoured down a path through the woods, I'm almost certain it's the same one from which I came. I leaned more into Anthony, afraid to run into my kidnappers and his arm entwined around me. What if that dream wasn't merely just a dream, but a foreshadowing into the future. I'm so close to getting home, I can't make any risks, it just can't be done.
"We need to go another direction, if we run into my kidnappers it's the end of my hope for freedom and to get back to my own home." I looked up at him desperately.
"No, we're finding their house so we can report them to the police. I'm not letting them get away with what they did. If you let it go, they will most likely do the same thing to another unsuspecting girl." He looked down at me warmly, "as long as you're by my side, you're safe."
I felt a little better, but still alarmed, nervous that at some point we would cross paths. They must have came after me, that was the whole point of the run I went on. For Chris to prove to me it wasn't possible for me to escape, that they would just catch up and I'd end up back where I started.
Every crunch of a leaf and rustle of branches jolted me off my feet. Eventually we neared the end of the forest as sunlight showed through an opening. I grew even more restless, I came in through this entrance, which meant we were so close to their house. If they saw me, they'd have me in the palm of their hands. I doubt Anthony has the power to fight off 2 guys, and keep me in sight.
Then, a few steps off the path, I saw it. It was my kidnapper's house peaking in behind a few scattered trees.
Anthony must have felt me tense, "that one?"
I nodded skeptically as the door to their house audibly creaked open. "R.I.P.," I muttered.
I know, I know, I am a horrible person. I left you guys hanging for 1,000 years, but I'm going to try my best now to update more frequently. Thanks so much for all the view & comments! (You guys are so funny and your comments make my day, so keep them coming!) (: x
