Umi walked back to the village, looking around as children played and people talked and worked. She looked and saw a woman wearing a pink and green kimono with brown hair walk towards her, a large boomerang strapped to her back. The woman smiled as she stopped in front of Umi.
"You must be Umi." Umi nodded, looking at the woman. "I am. And you are....?" "Oh, I'm Sango. I'm a demon slayer." Sango said. Umi smiled beautifully. "Cool." Umi looked down as a little yellow and black cat with two tails rubbed against Umi's legs, purring and mewing. "That's Kilala, she's a Twin-Tailed cat demon. Looks like she's already fancying you." Sango said as Umi picked Kilala, the little cat rubbing against Umi's chest. Umi smiled beautifully. "She's adorable." Umi said, looking at Sango. "Are you friends with Kagome?" "Yes. I travel with her and the others." Sango answered, smiling as they both started walking.
"I noticed you carry a large boomerang?" Umi asked, looking at Sango's weapon. "Ah yes, my Hirākotsu. I use it to slay demons." Sango said, smiling. Umi nodded, understanding. "We better go back to Kaede's hut. Kagome has a lot of explaining to do." Sango said as they walked towards the hut, a new bond forming between the two ladies.
