The meeting was over and the royal family were eating their breakfast. Elsa was so happy that she actually got to eat. And she was even more happy that she escaped the meeting. A wave of relief rushed through her as she took a bite of her toast. Her mother sat beside her and Jack sat opposite her.

The Queen smiled. "So Jack, how did the meeting go?"

He grinned. "It went pretty well."

"Really?" The Queen asked with a surprised tone. "Usually, you would get angry at the Duke."

"It's thanks to Elsa."

Elsa smiled as she looked down at her plate. She was glad that Jack didn't go all angry. An she was glad that he wouldn't keep his emotions stored in a bottle. He would ask Elsa for help and that's what she wanted. She wanted to help.

Elise glanced at Elsa. "Oh really? Then it looks like Elsa could attend the next meetings."

The princess started chocking on her toast. She most certainly didn't want to attend another meeting. Jack looked at her in amusement. It was certainly funny. Her mother patted her on the back and helped her recover. Elsa took a drink of her water and turned to the Queen.

"Y-you want me to go to another meeting?" She asked nervously.

Elsa seriously didn't at all want to go to another meeting. The meeting with the Duke was already enough. She doesn't want to attend another one.

The Queen nodded. "Seeing as you handled the Duke so well, maybe you can handle the other meetings."

She gulped. She didn't want to say no or run away. It would be so rude if she did that. But she couldn't just go to another boring old meeting. Elsa turned her head to Jack. He looked like he could burst into laughter in any minute.

"Are you serious, Elise?" Iduna asked in surprise. "Elsa hates meetings. I should know that from experience."

Elsa was so glad that her mother was with her. If she wasn't, who knows how she would cope with so many meetings. She smiled as she bit into her toast once again.

There was no way she would be seeing the old man again. But looking at the grin on her mother's face, Elsa wondered if she would be seeing the Duke again. "But she needs to learn about the world."

I think having my mother here is not doing any wonders for me.

"So, maybe it would be a good idea if she attends those meetings alongside the prince."

And that's when the smile on her face drops. She took a sip of her drink as she looked at her empty plate. At least she had something to eat. She would have died from starvation.

It looked like everyone else finished as well. The Queen held a pleased smile. "Very well then. Elsa," she said turning to the princess. "You will be going to the meetings with Jack. It's fixed."

So there was no escaping that. Elsa nodded slowly as the Queen got up. She sighed. Her mother left and it was just her and Jack. Even he didn't help her escape the tragic fate of Elsa; attending boring meetings.

Chuckling, he stood up and walked over to Elsa. "I guess you're going to be arguing with the Duke once again."

Sighing, Elsa got up and faced Jack. "You know, you could have helped me out."

"You're the one who wanted to help me."

There was no arguing with that. Elsa did want to help. She did say that they were team. So, she decided not to say anything else. The two of them walked out and through the halls. It was quiet, peaceful and well, lonely.

Something caught her attention. It was an ordinary book shelf. But it looked like there was an opening, like a door. Elsa stopped walking and squinted her eyes at the shelf. She gasped. There really was an opening. She rushed towards it with Jack following her.

"What are you doing?"

She lifted all the books to find a way to enter. "It's a secret door. It has to be a secret door."

Jack chuckled, shaking his head. "Secret door? Come on Elsa. This castle doesn't–" He stopped as the shelf opened. Inside, was a tunnel. A dark and cold tunnel. He turned to Elsa with utter shock.

"You were saying?" She teased, raising an eyebrow. She started to slowly walk through it, being cautious.

Jack followed her. "Are you crazy?"

"Yes. Yes I am."

The prince and princess walked straight onwards. Although it was dark, they could sense that it was a straight path. Elsa furrowed her eyes as she found light. Grinning, Elsa took ahold of Jack and ran.

"H-hey snowflake, slow down!"

But did she listen? No. As soon as they walked through the light, they were in amazement. It was a room that was painted red. There was a desk, chairs and chandeliers. Just like any other room, it was magnificent. There was even a giant book shelf attached to the walls.

Jack's eyes widened as he saw pictures being hung on the wall. He walked over to them. It was his mother and his father. The Queen was holding a baby in her hands.

"Father," he muttered capturing Elsa's attention.

"That's your father?" She asked as she walked over to the picture. It was her fist time seeing the King. She stared at it in awe.

Jack nodded. That was when Elsa realised it. The room they were in was the King's. They were standing in King Aster's room.

She gasped. "He built this room, didn't he?"

Elsa looked around with curiosity . She approached a desk that was covered in books. But one of them stood out the most. She reached out for it like it was treasure. Curiously, she opened it.

At last, my son has been born. His name is Jack. He would be an outstanding ruler. But, there's danger approaching him. Someday, he will know that. As a prince, he would have many enemies but I will do all it takes to protect my son.

It was a journal. An actually journal written by the King. She was amazed. Smiling, she read on.

I am being targeted. The traitor, Hans, he needs to get banished. I never thought that my own nephew would want to forcefully take the throne. But I can't let that happen. For the sake of my family, I can't let it happen. Agnarr and I will protect this kingdom. No matter what.

He actually wrote about her father. Well, they were really good friends after all. Elsa flipped the pages.

Someday, I know Hans will start his plan. He would try to kill me. And I know he might succeed but I won't let that happened. Acting isn't my thing, neither is escaping my unsolved problems, but I need to do this.

Acting dead wouldn't solve my problems. Though I'm sure that being dead wouldn't either. So, I will come back to my family. When the time comes, my plan will be set to go.

Her eyes widened in shock. The King didn't die. Hans didn't kill him. He was acting dead. No wonder nobody found his apparent 'dead' body. He wasn't at all dead. So that means...

"Jack?" The prince turned to her. Elsa was staring down at the journal, not taking her eyes off of it. "The King...he's alive."

A/N: Hey guys! You didn't expect that did you? Yes a cliffhanger! *evil laugh*

The King is alive! Elsa and Jack found a secret door! The King's name is Aster! So much stuff going on! Why so many exclamation marks? I don't know!

Anyway, is this chapter short? I'm sorry. I don't think it makes sense either. But how was it? What did you think of it?
