I started coughing insanely. Smoke filled the room. Blazing flames surrounded me. I was separated from Ezra.
"Ezra!"
"Ro!!"
"Ezra this is no time for nicknames!!"
"Rowan I will find you. I will always find you."
I felt a hit on the back of my head and I blacked out.

I woke up to a low cackle and bad breath. My head hurt like hell and my hole body felt singed. I groaned. I was tied up. Hands above my head.
"Little princess is awake"
"Who are you?"
"My name is Jeremiah"
"You!" I seethed " you did this! You're the reason mason is dead you're the reason the love of my life is suffering!"
"Listen dog. They made their choices and I made mine. They are the reason they suffered"
"Why am I here"
"Why do you think princess? We bargain alphas daughter for their surrender"
"My dad would never!"
"But your precious traitor would"
"You're not going to get away with this"
"I already have and Ezra shouldn't be so vulnerable"
"Shut up! Have you ever even cared about Ezra?"
"You don't know anything!"
"Yes I do!"
"Stop!"
"Ezra always thought about disappointing you and how you would feel! How can you not do the same for him!"
"You really think I don't know anything about my own son!" I gasped and he covered his mouth
"Son?"
"You can't tell him!"
"Which means your my grandfather?"
"Ezra's your dad?"
"God no. I love him. But Clara's my mom."
"No Clara died in the fire!"
I decided to lie knowing I had to protect her secret "not before she had me" he looked at me like he was looking at porcelain. Then he shook his head
"It doesn't matter"
"I'm your granddaughter"
"Species before blood"
"If  Clara were here what would she say?"
"It doesn't matter Clara's not here"
Ezra Ezra!
"Don't try I blocked your mind link"
"I hate you!"
"I Hate you too princess"
"Stop calling me that!"

Jeremiah left the room a couple hours ago. My stomach groaned and rumbled. I looked at my body it was black from dirt and 2nd degree burns. All of sudden the door was busted down and Ezra was there he kissed me.
"Hey princess"
I shook my head.
"Wait what"
He kissed me again
"Get off!"
I shut my eyes "you aren't real"
"Rowan yes I am" I blinked real hard and opened my eyes. I was back in the room.
"Smart girl" Jeremiah said "you must get that from me"
"Let me go"
"Once your father surrenders.then yes I will let you go"
"How did you do that? Little trade secret Adam taught me"
"Like Adam and Eve?"
"No like Adam Sandler. Yes like Adam and Eve!"
"You don't gotta be rude about it!"
"Face it! No one is coming for you"
