9/03/15- later in the day

I sat on my bed flicking through pictures on my feed when I got a notification the someone had commented. It was someone replying to me.

Ikr! It's the best feeling to be on your own but it's still hard. I hope things go well for you at college though😊

I smiled at her nice comment and typed in a quick response.

Thank you! I hope college goes well for you too, btw I love your account! 😁💙

I shut my phone off and decided to go for a short walk to a close by restaurant. On my way there, I ran into Georgia.

"Oh hey!" I said cheerfully. She smiled widely.

"Hey! Where are you going?" She asked.

"Oh, just exploring. I'm looking for close by restaurants so that when lunch comes I will have a place to go," I told her. She nodded understandingly.

"Well let me get my truck and we will drive around!" She suggested. I nodded eagerly.

I followed her to her truck which was in the parking lot of a church.

"What were you doing out here?" I asked as I got in her car.

"Well I was meeting one of my friends so we could exchange goodbyes," she said regretfully.

"Oh, I'm sorry," I said. She shrugged.

"It was my choice to go to college, because heaven knows that I don't want to work at McDonald's," she told me. I laughed a little and nodded.

"True," I said.

We drove down the road, while passing a couple of fast food restaurants. I heard my stomach rumble loudly. I cringed, hoping Georgia didn't hear.

"I guess you had a little more planned than just 'exploring', huh?" She asked with a smirk. I pretended to be confused.

"I don't know what you mean," I said. She rolled her eyes.

"It's okay, I'm hungry too. But I guess if you're not hungry I won't have to buy you McDonald's then?" She said. My head snapped so fast to look at her, I was surprised I didn't break my neck. She grinned at me and I looked back down at my lap in embarrassment.

"I mean- I'm kind of hungry." I mumbled.

"Don't worry, I already knew that. Everyone can be a little fat sometimes, right?" She said jokingly. I chuckled.

"Yeah, if you call it that," I agreed. She nodded and pulled into a McDonald's. I felt my mouth water as I told her my order.

"That'll be all," Geogia said into the speaker. She pulled up front to pick the food up and pay.

"You know I can pay for my meal," I said, pulling out my wallet. Georgia looked at me with a bored expression.

"No, maybe next time. This is my treat!" She told me.

"Are you sure? I can pay you back. How much was it? Three fifty for my meal?" I pulled out a five and watched her hand the lady her debit card.
