Melody's POV

9/06/15

"Sydney, I already told you, he is just my friend. So you can stop fangirling now." I groaned. I shoved my face in my hands which were propped up on the desk next to Sydney. We had this class together, and Sydney would not stop bothering me about Caleb. It didn't help that the professor was late, which gave her more time to tease me, much to my dismay.

"Awe wittle Mewody has a boyfriend!!" She cooed and pinched my cheeks. I scrunched my nose and jerked my face away.

The professor then finally walked in and proceeded to lecture us. I tried to follow along the best I could, but everything he said was basically a different language. I scribbled down a couple of notes that I had picked up on, and tried to look off of Sydney's notes for pointers on where we were. I finally gave up and closed my book, deciding to let it go through one ear and out the other. Probably not my smartest decision, but it was my last option. I was definitely going to need a little help for this class.

"I did not understand a word he was saying in there," I told Sydney as we walked down to the hallway to my next class. She smirked.

"Well why don't you ask your boyfriend to tutor you?" She nudged my shoulders. I rolled my eyes.

"For the last time, he is not my boyfriend!" I exclaimed tiredly.

"He might as well be," she said. I glared at her and watched as she froze, her eyes straight ahead.

"What is it?" I asked. Sydney pointed in front of us. I looked up and saw Caleb coming this way. I instantly whipped my face around to Sydney. She sent me a sly grin and I shook my head. She then just shrugged nonchalantly and turned and left, leaving me with him. I jumped when he tapped me on the shoulder.

"Hey," he said. I smiled.

"Hi," I replied. We kinda just stood there a second, before he chuckled.

"Can I take your books? I'll walk you to class," he said.

"Are you sure? Don't you have to go to class?" I asked. He took the books from my hands and tucked them under his arm.

"We have about seven minutes left, I will be fine," he told me. "What class?"

"Uhm," I mumbled and pulled out my schedule. He took it and read it. He nodded. He walked to my left side facing the opposite direction I was. I turned around so we were facing the same direction, still watching him.

"This way m'lady," he said very posh-like. I giggled. He stuck his arm out for me. I looped my arm in his with a laugh.

"Why thank you, kind sir," I played along, with a smile. He grinned and we walked to my next class.

I couldn't wipe the grin off my face after that. When I finished the last three classes I had left and had to leave, I gathered my things and went to go to walk home.

"So?" Sydney asked just as I reached the classroom door. I jumped in surprise.

"Oh my god, Syd," I said, placing a hand on my heart as if it would slow it down. "You scared me."

"Sorry," she said. "So? I haven't seen you all day since that hallway incident. What happened?"

Instantly, a grin came to my face as I thought back to earlier today.
