{Would he be looking for me today?}
Sasuke drove to school, thinking about how much trouble his late night would cause him.
{No, of course not, he has too many friends to worry with my whereabouts.}
The Uchiha pulls up by the school and gets out, already surrounded by attention.
{Besides, even if I did go, and he did see me, nothing would happen.}
"Sasuke! I called you this morning but you didn't pick up. " Neji moans, causing Sasuke to 'hn'. "Yeah, I probably missed it." "No shit!"
{Because I'm a liar.}
"Sorry... " The rest of his friends come up to him, all talking amongst themselves about their science project, the one Sasuke didn't do.
{And he'd hate me if he found out.}
Sasuke makes his way into the school building, his group following beside him. Luckily, their first lesson is English, and the block is the closest one to the gate. They're all conversing about random things, except one. The Uchiha stays silent.{But he doesn't know me.}
He's thinking about one thing. The only thing going through his mind is where the girl is.
{Face or name.}
The girl who got him to reply, and stay her friend. The girl who confused the Uchiha, made him stop and actually think about certain comments and topics.
{I'm safe.}
'Hn' He smirks and shakes his head. None of that's true, he's sure of it.
{It's just a laugh, right?}
Which is what he's believing for the sake of his pride, and he's actually so naive that he believes it himself. That the person he's talking to is barely a friend. Let alone an interest to him.
{Right?}
But that's what he's believing too. Yet, he can't believe it himself, so I guess the word here should be 'trying'. The only thing he feels is guilt. But...no. That's a lie. He also feels excitement. What a pitiful combination, such a terrible feeling that makes you so happy in such a painful way. He can't help but smiling, then groaning into a pillow. Jumping up and down, then laying on the floor, consumed in bad thought. It was all so new, yet so despicable to him. When he looks at the clock, he grins.
Five minutes.
Then, in that five minutes, he can get his friend, Kiba to come over. He can tell Kiba about everything that happened this past day. And he'd understand that it's probably nothing, and his friend is over-exaggerating the entire situation. No matter how ridiculous the fact that his friend is posing as a female on the internet, and befriending guys on it is, he won't judge his friend. And that's special, because everyone else had always made fun of him for one thing or another, whether it was for being gay, the marks on his face, or his weird eating habits, he got picked out of the crowd by everyone he spoke to.
And that's why he doesn't speak to new people in person, not since his previous school. There are nice people in his class, who would become his friend, but he doesn't know that. To him, Kiba was a mini miracle of a friend, and now, all of his internet friends were fake blessings. Fake in the sense that like a lot of things, he doesn't believe the idea of them being friends.
But no.
What about...
No.
How naive.
How naive would he be?
Sasuke Uchiha isn't his friend. But the boy did know one thing.
Sasuke Uchiha is exciting.
The perfect idea of someone with success, ferocity, and sex appeal.
And yet, when they spoke with each other, the pressure went, the blonde felt it. All of the stress of everyone's expectations vanished. They were both calm, except from when the blonde would squeal to himself, and the onyx would have no clue.
But, in a nutshell,
Sasuke Uchiha is something the boy craved in his life.
And that was enough.
