I'm sorry I haven't updated in ages, on any of my stories. I just couldn't write anything. On the upside I've found myself obsessing over British television. Meaning Doctor Who and Sherlock. If anyone else is a fan that's awesome!

Chapter 4

Nash walked outside slamming the door behind him. Jackie glanced around waiting for the tension to ease and everyone to go back to what they were doing. Green Eyes noticed and stood in front of her. "Back to your own business, now."

Everyone quickly started talking to whoever as long as they could get away from his glare. He took her hand and guided her into the kitchen. "What about Nash?"

"He'll be fine. I promise, Jackie." She sniffed and moved around the island counter to get a better view of him. Jacqueline blushed as she looked away, dear God was he gorgeous. She heard him laugh and turned to glare at him.

"What's your name?"

His eyes widened and he looked appalled. Jackie smiled lightly and he grinned. " I'm Batman."

The silence that arrived as Jackie stared at him was suffocating."Yeah, you're Batman." She rolled her eyes as she smiled. "What's your real name?"

"My name's Dean. I would ask you for your's but I already know it. Jackie, real pretty, what's it short for?"

"Jacqueline."

He grinned widely at her and nodded his head enthusiastically like it made sense and he approved of her name. "Well that's even better! I'll call you Jacqueline."

In that moment as Dean looked at her with his happy eyes, so much like a child's, like her brother's, the brother she wouldn't be able to save in the end, she shut down and moved out of the kitchen. "Hey, whoa, Jacqueline!"

As she whipped the front door open Nash came stumbling back in. "Jackie?" Jacqueline huddled into his chest and breathed heavily and wetly as his arms went around her. "What happened? What did they do?"

"I want to go home."

Nash looked up wondering what had happened here that would make her want to go back to that. In the door way out of breath Dean stood watching. "What did you do to her Dean?"

Dean shook his head and Nash realized he hadn't harmed the sobbing girl in his arms. "Dean could we crash at your's tonight? She says she wants to go home, but she doesn't, and I'm not letting her go back."

He nodded still confused as to what had triggered this flow of emotions to emit from Jacqueline. Nash led Jackie to Dean's truck and buckled her in the back. Dean pulled out of the drive way as soon as Nash shut the door.

"Nash..."

Nash turned around in the seat to see her tear stained face peering at him. "We have to go get Axel. I can't leave him there."

Dean slowed down as the directions changed. They arrived at a huge house situated on a hill, like a mansion or haunted house as he'd later come to find out, and Jacqueline threw herself out of the car. Halfway to the gate she stopped and pivoted on her heel. "C'mon! Are you not gonna help me?"

Dean looked at Nash questioningly as he sighed and got out of the car. "You know Dean she meant you too."

"Oh!" He quickly got out of the truck and twisted the key in the ignition. He kept his eyes on her body as she avoided the front door and moved to the side of the house by a massive oak tree. "Hey, why can't we just go in the front door?"

"Oh, security and if they caught her we probably wouldn't ever see Jacqueline Richardson again."

Dean nodded uncomfortably and returned his attention to Jacqueline. They both watched as she moved in the tree as if she'd done it a thousand times. She climbed in the window and they could hear the door open. "You'd better get up there."

"Oh, no Axel doesn't like me. You better help her."

Dean looked around before climbing up the tree into the window and ran straight into Jacqueline. He opened his mouth to apologize and she clapped her hand over his mouth. "Ism this youa rum?"

"What?"

"Is this your room?"

She looked around and grabbed a couple photos from a drawer. "No."

Dean chased her out of the room and down the hall. "Well whose bedroom is it?"

"My sister's."

Dean looked around at all the expensive things lining the hallway. "Where is she?"

"She's dead."

Jacqueline closed her eyes and breathed deeply before continuing down the hall to Axel's room. She cracked open the door to see his bed unoccupied. Dean waited for her and she came out with a bag packed.

"Where is he?"

"My room."
