Chapter 9

    "Do not pray for an easy life; pray for the strength to endure a difficult one."

     They stopped at a local bar as they reached the city.

    "Don't worry, beer. I'm coming." Mac ran inside.

    "Well, he's gonna be the first one to get wasted." Cloud commented.

   The group laughed as they entered the small building.

     Marth and Pit found a table to themselves in the corner. Lucina and Samus took a table by the window. The rest of the guys sat at a round table by the bar.

   "If only Link was here, he would get us free drinks." Mac says.

    "Maybe Cloud can get us free drinks." Alvis nudged the blonde.

     "I don't know. I'm not sure." A red hue formed on his cheeks.

   "Come on Cloud. You have the looks. Use them." Mac implied.

     "Ok." He smiled getting out of his seat.

   "He is not gonna get us drinks." Ike scoffed.

     "Jealous?" Shulk teased.

"No way." He shook his head.

    Cloud made his way to the bartender who happened to be a lady in her young twenty's.

    "What can I get for you?" She asks.

  "Handsome." She adds after she looked up.

    "I'd like some drinks on the house, please."

     She chuckled."Nice try."

   "Seriously."

  "Why should I give you free drinks?"

      Because I'm in the army. Same as my friends. We fought for this country while you're living your normal life. We witness people die everyday sacrificing their lives and we have to move on. We're up day and night protecting citizens like you. We're hungry, tired, and thirsty. How do you think we feel?"

    "Oh wow. I feel so bad. Okay, I'll give you guys free drinks. You deserve it for all the hard work you do." She replied.

      "Thank you." The blonde strolled over to the table.

   "Haha, you didn't get the free drinks." Ike cackled.

    "Oh we did." Cloud smirked."She's coming now to take your orders."

    "What can I get for y'all?" The bartender asked.

  "Beer."

  "Cherry Cola Cocktail."

   "Champagne."

   "Manhattan."

   "Tequila Sunrise."

      "Ok, I'll have it out." The bartender walked away.

    "I can't believe you got us free drinks." Ike grumbled.

   "You're just jealous you couldn't get us free drinks." Mac let out a laugh."I bet Cloud is a womanizer."

    "No not really. Lucina was my first girlfriend. Well there was this girl Tifa but it never worked out between us." He replied.

    "He's lying." Alvis objected.

   "I'm not. I promise."

     "If I was you I would date every girl in the world." Mac says.

   "Don't start something you can't finish." Ike taunted.

     The bartender came back with the drinks. Alvis and Mac instantly finished theirs in five minutes.

   "I'm gonna get a refill." Cloud stood up.

     "Give me one!"

      "Me too!"

  Mac and Alvis shoved their glasses towards Cloud.

   "I'm pretty sure I said I was gonna get a refill." Cloud restated.

    "Aw, pretty please, Cloudy?" Alvis pouted.

   "Yah what he said." Mac added.

   "Fine." The blonde gave in.
