*The next day*
Well yesterday sucked. That was the most embarrassing, awkwardest, worst day of my life and I never want it to happen again.
Today I was going to the water park with Brent. Hopefully he doesn't ask about anything from yesterday. If he does I have no idea what I'm going to say. So keep my fingers crossed he doesn't.
I was laying in bed with the cover tucked around me only showing my head. I was half asleep when...
*Ring Ring Ring*
I jumped out of my skin, when I heard the annoying phone ring from downstairs. It took three loud rings for my mom to get it.
I tossed and turned to be laying on my back again. I couldn't get back to sleep even when I was so comfortable, so I stared up in the white ceiling thinking I should get up and take a shower.
I turned over on my side to see what time it was on my alarm clock.
9:20am!!!!!!
WHAT 9:20! Brent's coming at 10 and I'm not ready, let alone even out of bed. What if he's on the phone right now talking to my mom about today? What if he can't or doesn't want to go today? Or what if my mom's saying I can't go today? Or worse what if their talking about me?
I pushed out of bed throwing the covers on the floor. I ran quickly downstairs to see who she was talking to.
"Mom!" I yelled through the kitchen to the living room.
"What?" She yelled back to me. When she yelled at me, I heard the phone crash against the counter.
"Who was on the phone?" I walked into the living room.
"Your Aunt Maggie, she's coming to visit us today." she said happily while putting the phone on the charger.
What, Aunt Maggie? Why does she have to come today? Why can't she come tomorrow?
"Um..... I can't I have plans." I said quietly while moving towards the stairs.
"What? Why? Where are you going?" She said sadly with a concerned look on her face.
"I'm going somewhere with a..... someone" I said like I was sorry, but I wasn't actually because Aunt Maggie comes every four to six months anyways.
"Who are you goi-?" she said concerned.
"Mom I don't have time to answer all these questions. Brent is coming in a half an hour." I said annoyed while moving into the kitchen.
"Brent? Who's Brent?" she walked closer to me.
Why did I say his name? Mom already had thousands of questions. Now she going to have a million more.
"He's a...a." should I say he's a friend or something else. He's not really a friend, but what do I call him, a classmate or my crush?
'Oh hi mom, I'm going to a waterpark with my crush.' No, I'm not saying that.
"He's a...a... friend." I stuttered
"Where are y-?" she was getting angry.
"I need to get ready." I said going up the stairs.
I ran straight for my room shutting my door and then walking to the bathroom. I had to hurry, Brent was coming soon.
I threw off my clothes and turned on the shower. I was waiting for the water to get warm so I stood there looking out the crack of the curtain with my hand feeling the water.
I saw a bright pink flower. It was beautiful. The pedals flowed in the wind like blankets did when drying outside. The pink glistened in the sunlight like stars in the sky. It was tall like a tree, the ants would probably kill themselves if they climbed it.
