I got pass the phase of rejection and the sadness that came with it. Now I've gone back to the normal everyday life of Hallie Stark.I was sitting on the couch one afternoon just watching TV and checking my phone. I was just minding my business when the house phone goes off ringing and ringing. My mom, sitting at the counter grabs the phone answering it "hello."
I sit there eavesdropping on the conversation.
"Yes, this is her mom"
"Oh yes, she would love that."
"Yes, we'll be there on Saturday, thank you!"
Now before my mom even hung up the phone my thought immediately became bright!
I think I just got called back! I can't believe this right now. Act cool, act cool.
My mom walks over with this big cheesy smile on her face "Hallie, I have some amazing news for you. I just got a call from the directior of the movie "spying isn't a crime" they would love it if you wanted to come in for a callback for the role of Alex. I already said yes assuming you would want to go."My jaw dropped open and I tried to get words out, but all that came out was a huge squeal of joy! I can't believe I got a callback like AHHHHH!
"Alright Hallie, okay so the callback is on Saturday and this time it's in California, so Friday morning we're going to head up there. So get your stuff packed sweetie"
I immediately ran upstairs and packed the cutest outfits I could find. I didn't know what to expect this being my first major callback. I pulled out a multitude of clothes and stared at them for a good 30 minutes until I finally came upon the perfect outfit: A peach colored tank top with a beach on the front, a pair of high waisted light-wash jeans and a jean jacket. I felt idly satisfied with this outfit hoping my taste doesn't change by the time Saturday comes around, but just in case I packed another outfit equally as cute.
Soon enough, I ran downstairs. Almost forgetting, I ran up to my mom and gave her a huge bear hug! A hug that can never be beat. "Thank you so much mommy! I love you." Were the words that came out of my mouth with glee.
I couldn't believe I actually got called back.
(A/N: sorry about the whole not updating thing guys! I just got so busy with school and other activities that I couldn't find time to write while keeping my grades up. So sorry this chapter was short, it's kind of like a filler chapter, but it was important. Next chapter will be longer indeed!
I love you guys, don't forget to vote and of course keep reading.)
