I got home and a suit was laying on my bed, nicely ironed. Natalie stood in the doorway. "I had your suit ironed, as you asked, sir."

I rubbed the back of my neck. "Yeah, thanks."

"What do you need a suit for?" She asked.

"Oh, the Valentines day dance at school." I picked up the suit. "I'm going to get changed now, Natalie."

"Ok, sir." She closed the door and I heard her walk down the hall.

Before I could start getting undressed, my phone went off. I picked it up and noticed a message from a new number.

Unknown number

Hey, Adrien, it's
Marinette. I was
wondering if you
wanted to go to the
dance with me tonight.

OK. Sure.

Why not?

WAIT, YOU'RE SAYING
YES?

Yeah. I'll go with you.

Thank you so much!

No problem.

I quickly got changed. Plagg flew into sight with a wedge of cheese. "What are you doing?"

"I'm going to the dance with Marinette. I don't have anyone else to go with." I shrugged and started tying my tie.

"Yes you do." Plagg ate the whole wedge in one gulp.

I froze. He was right. Ladybug. I groaned. "Uggghh. I can't just say no to Marinette. She was so excited." I plopped onto my bed and looked at my hands. "I'll have to juggle them both, I guess...."

Plagg laughed. "You think you can do that?"

"Yeah." I stood up. "Probably. I looked at my watch. It was later than I thought. Almost six thirty. "I should probably go pick up Marinette, now." I stood up and walked out of my room. I was half way to the front door when Natalie stopped me.

"Where are you going?" She asked.

"To-to the dance. I'm going to walk. I'll be back by ten." I ran out the door before she could say anymore.

Marinette lived above her parents' bakery. I buy cupcakes there sometimes on the weekends, so I knew where it was. I walked in and her mom looked up from behind the counter. "Can I help you?"

"Uhh...yeah. Is Marinette here? I um.. I was taking her to the Valentines day dance at school." I smiled.

"Oh! She just left." She pulled two frosted crossants out of the glass counter and handed them to me. "Here. One for each of you." She winked.

"Oh. Uh.. thanks." I laughed awkwardly and ran out the door to the school.
