Exo Zombies: Opposites Can Change

Part 1: The Outbreak

The manticore bomb created by Atlas had created a mutant nightmare that no-one was prepared for, Atlas seizing the opportunity took these undead "specimens" and started experimenting on them, but their curiosity, incompetence and distrust inside the corporation itself caused a outbreak in one of the many research facilities...

...and four employees found themselves in the middle of an undead hoard.

The wet night was full of the noise of screaming and gunfire, on top of a wrecked bus were four people fighting off the zombie hoard. Kahn, Oz, Decker and Lilith were fighting for their lives' after the failed attempt to escape, there was a break in the wave as the four collected themselves, "we should get off this bus, it's a death trap" Kahn suggested, "any suggestions?" Oz replied, they both turned to Decker, "err... there was a sewer entrance I went to once, it has a good position we can cover" Decker replied while exo jumping off the bus, "lead the way prince charming" Lilith said sarcastically, Decker turned to her and managed to prevent himself from doing anything he would regret.

After a short walk through the outside part of the complex in the light drizzle the group came to a metal door with a keypad, Decker had access in this area but was trying to remember the number to open the door, "need any help in operating a keypad?" Lilith said jokingly to Decker showing her superior IT skills "no miss I have enough intelligence to know how to use a keypad, maybe you should cover my back from anymore of those undead fucks" Decker replied in a slightly angry tone, as he said that a hoard of zombies came round a distance corner and saw the group, "guys we got company" Oz called out raising his CEL-3 to combat them, Kahn raised his pytaek and pinned the trigger at the hoard, Lilith walked forward and started firing with her HBRa3, Decker kept trying to open the door while trying different combinations, "12,24,35?" Decker said to himself, Lilith reloaded her HBR, "How are you guys on ammo?" she said tactically, "got another full mag for them" Kahn replied after reloading his pytaek, "still got boat loads" Oz also replied while firing, Lilith saw a zombie, raised her sights and pulled the trigger, but a badly chambered round caused her gun to explode, the HBR's dust cover and mechanism were ejected and hit her in the face, her eyes closed, her body went limp and she fell over backwards, Kahn suddenly realized what had happened and turned to Decker, "Decker! Lilith's knocked out, get her up" he shouted to Decker, "me?" Decker replied in a sort of dumb manner, "yes you! who else !?" Kahn yelled at him, Decker ran to Lilith's unconscious body and saw the smoking broken HBR next to her, he picked her up, put her over his shoulder and went back to the keypad.

Kahn and Oz were losing ground against the zombies and were slowly walking back, "hurry up with that door Decker!" Oz shouted behind him, "what the hell was it?" Decker said to himself, Kahn's pytaek ran out of ammo and he switched to his atlas 45. as the zombies started swarming in, "11! that's it!" Decker shouted, he punched it in and the door unlocked, at that moment the power cell in Oz's CEL snapped in the gun as he was reloading, they both turned around as Decker was opening the door, "Lets go, Lets go!" Decker shouted as he covered Oz and Kahn with an ASM1 in one hand, Kahn and Oz ran through the doorway along with Decker and Lilith in tow, Kahn shut the door trapping a zombies arm, Decker shot the zombie in the head and kicked the door shut cutting the zombies arm off.

The group recovered from the encounter and checked their ammo, Oz managed to clear the broken power cell in his CEL-3 and inserted a new one in, "how's Lilith?" Oz asked Decker, "she's alright I think, she was hit in the face by a dust cover" he replied looking at Lilith on his shoulder, "wait from her gun?" Oz said a bit confused, "yep, bad chambering, the HBRa3 is known for that, almost had one blow up in my face during my training" he said, "you always keep bragging about your training" Kahn said to Decker "were you forewarned about this mess?", "did I mention I was looking for a place in the Atlas army, my training was for that but even so its preventing my face from being eaten off from a couple of undead assholes" Decker replied and a bit of a pause ensued, "back to the situation in hand" Kahn said breaking the silence "how do we get out of here?", "just follow the tunnel until we find something" Oz replied uncertainly.
